Yea you read it right. I am getting rid of sprint. For some reason they are starting to suck to me. They've already fallen behind t mobile and with thenm having nextel service has only gotten worse. . . T mobile on the other hand is only getting stronger and the rate plans are a lot better.

Can you share with the forum what do you use with Sprint or Nextel and how they are becoming worse then before? What does Tmobile attract you to them?

Thanks.

I have the free incoming 300 minute plan for $39.99 and unlimited text at $15, insurance at$6, power vision at $20. My phone is the Samsung A900. Roughly I pay $80.99 monthly plus applicable taxes.

The plan I am looking at with tmobile is the 1000 whenever minutes at $49.99, text at $14.99, insurance at $5.99, and internet at $5.99 and the ease of knowing my calls will not be dropping = PRICELESS 😁

I actually get more with tmobile considering there coverage is better in my area and they are priced a bit better also.

Hmmm... let me see 1000 min for 49.99 Sprint has a 1000 min for 45.99 the only difference between the plan that your getting with tmobile is the Internet. And thats just basic web service...if thats the case just remove the internet with Sprint(which is EVDO).. With all that you said your getting it looks like you would total $77 a 3 dollar difference from your current plan. if thats the case just remove the internet with Sprint...GOOD LUCK with tmobile, you will be back, ive seen so many customers come back from Tmobile. Sure your getting a new phone now, but then if you want to upgrade you have to wait the two years to get a full discount with them also. Oh yea knowing that you will drop calls = PRICELESS

i know weve been argueing, but heres a tip. thats because you are using the music store. just put mp3s on the phone thru mass storage. then the media player will not have to access web.

i work in tech support. i promise it works.

if a900,

1. connect phone to PC thru USB.
2. menu - tools - mass storage - connect to PC.
3. open the new drive you see in My Computer.
4. drop mp3 files into media folder. not into the db folder which is inside media.
5. disonnect and play thru media player.

if a920 or a940,

instead of steps 1 and 2, get memory card reader, put card into computer. then see steps 3 thru 5.

also:
these steps are assuming that you have a PC, not a Mac, and that you are using mp3 files. WMA, WAV, M4A, etc will NOT work.
if you have questions, call cust service and ask for EVDO tech support.

peace

I don't know where you are getting your info from about T-Mobile getting stronger, but they aren't. If they were getting stronger they wouldn't be throwing minutes at their customer to keep them there! I had the pleasure of working for T-Mobile during a test run of a program called "Talk or Walk". The premise was interesting, during the three month period all you had to do was call into customer care from one of the three participating markets and tell them that it was not working for you. They would than waive the cancellation fee and allow you to leave. sufficed to say, I helped DE-activate 14 customers in the first three days and their churn rate in my market sky-rocketed. My advice would be to find a store with a knowledgeable rep that i...

You sir, are ignorant.

Sprint purchased Nextel. Nothing has changed yet. They may as well have bought a KitKat bar.

If you would like to leave one company to go to another, then just go. We don't need your ignorance. If you think the Nextel merger had anything to do with service, you are poorly informed. The two are nothing alike and have nothing in common, other than Sprint paid a lot of money to own Nextel. I say again, the merger has nothing to do with anything you will notice as a Sprint customer, other than the commercials. All you people who complain about signal (the two companies use different technologies) or customer service (they are still seperate, call Nextel about your Sprint account if you dont believe me), or anything ...

Yea I agree with you. "Nothing changed my ***" Almost every new Chrysler Corp. car now shares parts with Mercedes. The Pacifica has interior parts shared with the Merecedes E-Class. The 300, Magnum and Charger all have controls derived from the most recent Mercedes.

But back on the topic of cell phones...people who I know have Nextel have recently said that their service recently got much worse since the merger with Sprint. I would just look at them and be like the networks have nothing to d...

So I am not the only to notice that the service all around has gotten worse.

They seemed to have taken on NEXTEL'S prices at first but that then began to change with the fact of that nextel is overpriced. why pay more than need to here "the subscriber you are trying to reach could not be located"??

My issue mainly is the fact of that without the merge sprint was a much better company price wise. Yes they have to oh so cool free incoming plan, but its no good half the time when the darn call is dropping consistently. Sprint offered WONDER WHY THEY GIVE DROPPED CALL CREDIT before the merger but point is sprint knows what is wrong but why fix it if you guys are gonna continue to use the service. NOT ME, not anymore.

Basically I am go...

all im saying is that if your voice quality or reception has gotten worse, it is a coincidence. i am sorry for any miscommunication. as for parts being interchanged, not yet, but i expect to see sprint get rid of ReadyLink and use Nextel's walkie talkie, because it is more reliable. nothing will ever change because of this merger, as far as voice service, for a current sprint customer.

Technology doesn't change. You are correct, but the way things are run does. Case and point the fact that a couple of Nextel's crappy plans became Sprint's now crappy plans. I remember before the merger Fair and Flexible was actually fair $5 for 100 minutes, now its $5 for 50 minutes and 10 cents a minute thereafter. Gee from what used to be $5 for a whole 100 minutes has now become $10 for the same 100 minutes. Please don't give me the crap about them lowering prices on a few plans because whatever prices they have lowered they have gouged the prices of the services and extra features.

To call me ignorant is your opinion, you are entitled to that, but you are an imbecile.

Peace.

WOW 10cents a min, compared to other carriers that charge 35 - 45 cents a min...it sounds like your still getting a bargain, none the less your nights now start at 7pm for the same price. Call me ignorant but i think for being CRAPPY plans they seem to be fairly good. 😉

hate to tell you that was a SPRINT corp decision, nothing to do with Nextel, you seem to forget who bought out whom... A merger of "equals".. based upon Sprint's MaBell roots 'merging' with a grassroots start up with one of telecom's pariah's backing (Craig McCaw)... before the merger of equals, Nextel had the top customer service rating, the lowest churn of all carriers and the highest ARPU (bascially cost of maintaining a customer versus the life a customer stays with carrier) and that was being #5. I think you have some displaced displeasure that you're taking out on the redhead step-child here.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am a T-Mobile rep.

Now, having said that, not every carrier is for everyone. I happen to be a big fan of T-Mobile, obviously, because I work for them, and I genuinely believe that they are a quality company, and they want happy customers, because that creates loyalty and looyalty creates word-of-mouth, etc.

I know that reps that work many other carriers function the same way. I can't speak for Sprint, because I am not one of their reps.

Now, here is my suggestion. Sign up for T-Mobile before you cancel your Sprint account. Take your new T-Mobile phone and go everywhere you want to have service. See how you like it. Make sure you do this within the first 14 days of having service. If you a...

Nextel service would not affect Sprint services as they are two separate systems. Iden and CDMA-PCS. No need to legitimise your preference for one to the other based on false data. P.S. market review shows that T-mobile is lagging behind all others period. The Deutch Telecom lack of support on the foreign front isn't helping either.
