I have had Sprint for almost a year now and really like their service. I get very few dropped calls and have had no problems with their customer service either. I saw some advertising that said Sprint had the most powerful network in Chicago, since I live in chicago, I was wondering what exactly does this mean?.
Thank you to anyone who can help.

just wireless companies BS'ing like always... the same reason there are a thousand "greatest movie of the year"
Probably has to do with the frequency, being 1.9GHz as opposed to the 850 frequency, competition in that area probably has more 850 towers than 1.9 so they BS. I dont imagine many companies have problems in such a large city, you probably take priority having so many people, unless a certain carrier is overloaded, but technically thats good for business.

Well, I've never had problems with Sprint. I've tried Cingular and Verizon and previously AT&T. Sprint has been the most reliable in the loop and on the northside. I think their phones are generally pretty boring but the signal is reliable for me. YMMV.
...
most powerful refers to their 3g "powervision" EVDO network its not better then verizon's but they claim it is becuase it just sounds cooler to say we have the most powerful network.
...
they are calling their network the most powerful because of internet and online content?.....
thats a new one, but hey, everyone has to have their claim to fame.
...
Its Our turn to say what we are just like Verizon says "the most reliable network", and cingular says "the biggest network Network", and Now We can say "The Most Powerful Network"!!!!
...
ya but your network sucks, thats the problem.
...
The network does not suck. Actually it works better than verizon in chicago, at least for me it does. Everyone to their own.
Verizon's EVDO is not that great either.
...
really? is the exact same technology with the exact same speed as sprints "powervision"
so explain to me what makes sprints better?
...
Typical weekend-warrior remark. 🙄 🙄
Do a Wikipedia search on the word "Bandwidth"...
Let's ask nextel18 why Sprint's EV-DO is better.
From everyone I've spoken w/ about aircards on either Sprint or VZW, I've heard that Sprint's is typically faster. Could just be the 200 or so people who I've had that conversation with though?

Well first of all the technology might be the same but were just a step ahead of verizon all the time. 1st were the only carrier to offer live tv on our phones, 2nd we were the first to roll out the Sprint Music Store, 3rd We were the first to do a live concert on our phones!!! 4th were going to launch EVDO rev A for select markets by the end of this year and roll out nationwide by the end of 2007!! while Verizon has yet to announce a Launch. I personally tried both versions as far as Tv access and Sprints is far Superior!
