first,i am new to sprint i am in my 3rd mo.
last week i started getting "call failed" allot and then i get calls that "break up" alot, and now in my house i will be able to talk sitting on my couch and if i move to the other end of the couch i will loose the call "call failed" so i took the phone to the sprint store and they did an "update nothing has changed.
this was my biggest worries when coming to sprint because this is my business phone and my home phone.can someone please help me before i switch to verizon.i really don't want to i don't like verizon but if i have to i will.
I'm at a loss as to what to do.
thank you so much in advance for your help.

try setting the phone to sprint only
...
no try setting your phone to roam only then you will be on the verizon network 🤣
sry you are having trouble but Sprint kinda blows. I really like Sprint too but they are just sub par compared to verizon
...
i gess i am also wondering why this just started to happen??? if i set my phone to roam only will my bill be more? i thought that if you roam to much then you have to pay for it??
please remember i am new to sprint.thanks for your help
...
sprint doesnt blow? i live in the detroit area, and in my house my sprint phone gets 3-full bar service... my GF's phone gets 1 bar no matter what! she sometimes has to go outside to talk... i dont!
think before you say sprint blows, it really does depend on the area/terrain.
...
Her phone is probably bad.

Try calling tech support. Have your PRL (Preferred Roaming List) checked should be 10033 or 100something. This tells your phone which towers it can use. Also try putting in a Trouble ticket. Usually can take up to 5 Bus. days but they usally fix it.
...
Very true, but you are telling this to the wrong person.
...
What phone do you have?
...
Call failed and when your phone breaks up means that there is something wrong with either the cell tower or the phone that you are using. There are a few things that I suggest customers to do; 1. Make some network tickers and 2. Troubleshoot your cell or get it replaced and/or fixed.
Call failed is usually a big indicator of something wrong with the tower more so than with the cell phone itself, but as you know they both transmit so if there is a problem with transmitting then it doesn’t matter if one is working perfectly.
You have mentioned that you are having a lot of problems in your house, well that has to deal with the 1.9ghz and lack of propagation that that band has especially inside one’s house. I would say contact Sprint and...
(continues)
...
One more thing I forgot to mention; you should sometimes power cycle your phone because that can help as it refreshes the connection between the tower and the cell phone, which does help if there are any updates on the tower.
...
nextel18,
this problem just started about 1 week ago, before that it was good.
...
Sounds like a tower problem. Do your friends and/or parents, if they have Sprint, have the same problems you are facing?
...
no nobody has sprint that i know except one person and she has no problem.and she lives about 1 /2 to 1 mile from me
...
That tower that she is on could actually serve your area, but it depends on certain circumstances. I would ask her to bring her cell over to your house to see if there is the same issue going on and adjust accordingly.
Have you done anything to try to rectify this problem? Trouble or Network tickers?
...
i have only taken my phone to the sprint store and left it for 1 hr and they did an update on it.
well i tryed putting my phone on roam only and it didn't work.it said that the call could not go through. and i cant sent txt or get on the sprint vision network.
...
I would then call up Sprint to do some Network tickers or troubleshoot tickers identifying your problems. Remember, do not mention indoors. Go back to the store and have them fix/replace the phone.
I knew you were going to be having problem with roam only because it only provides the basic services and not any of the enhanced services. I would never do roam only or anything that has to deal with roaming because it simply hurts you.
If none of the troubleshooting works then just part your ways.
...
I doubt they would replace the phone in store, even if he does have insurance, the phone will likely pass the RF test.
...
Well, they could if he complains that it doesn’t work near his house. They are supposed to replace it if the customer sees any problems. Obviously it will pass RF tests because the FCC did. They are supposed to troubleshoot the phone to the extreme and if it isn’t the tower’s issue it is the phones and if they don’t fix it then shame on them.
...
i just set my phone to roam only and now i have 5 bars,so should i try and leave it like that????
...
I would if you continue to receive those 5 bars, even though; those “bars” mean nothing to engineers or other more informative users. There is a way to tell what kind of information your phone uses with Sprint, however, I forgot how to do that.
I think roam only might be a bad thing because it might indicate to Sprint that you aren’t using their towers and they might just kick you off because they have that clause in the contract but more importantly is that your features that you had earlier might be gone. I am not 100 percent sure though so you might as well as a Sprint representative.

Than that would be his easy way to find out which tower is servicing him in that area and migrate over w/o ETF...
...
lets go back to the meaning of a wireless "mobile" phone, the word mobile means on the go correct, not stationary... therefore your going to get reception on the go, the wireless mobile phone was not made to replace the home stationary phone, it amazes me how many people that have so called "buinesses" and rely solely on a "mobile" phone.... you should consider a home line sir
...
So with your way of thinking, the phone should work better when you are driving around rather then sitting on your couch ...
thats a bunch of bs
it should work anywhere that you aren't in a deep underground basement or in terrible terrain
buddy just pay the eft and go to verizon or tmobile
just stay away from cingular, they aren't much better than sprint, imo.
