Just curious, have two MM-8300's on my business/family account and both an an OTA update done on them by using 'update phone' option in the settings menu. It said something about optimizing the phone from ver 1.005SP to 1.007SP, anyone know the benefits of doing this? Is it OS only or does that include PERL updates? I got nothing...

its probably some small glitch's fix. it probably wont matter if you do it or not. as for the PRL, that makes no difference to you, its to save sprint money.

I also have MM-8300. The update only works for the software in the phone. You have to call in to have PRL update flagged on your account, then call *2 back for update.
