Ready-Link Service
Does anyone know how fast there Sprint's Ready-Link service is? I have tried Verizon's and theres is a little bit too slow for me. I have always used nextel for the ptt only and it is really fast, but their coverage is a problem for me. So how is compared to Verizon or Nextel???
...
its faster than verizon but slower than nextel's.
they have q-chat coming which will be able to keep up with nextel.
other than that the nearest to nextel is cingular and that because their ptt isnt over data but voice. the only pain is that the initial call can take up to 7 seconds but average is about 3.

yea but i wonder if that phone that was on the phonescoop homepage last week (the motorola phone) has sprint voice and data with iden walkie talkie... in english that means it will have sprint call quality with nextel's two way service... the question is whther it will be released as nextel or sprint?
...
well i just reread that news report and sprint will release it so probably going with sprint in the long run will pay off... if i was you i would wait until october 2006 before joining sprint so you would qualify for any such new customer rebate.
...
im guessing nextel. by the phone look and build. i also wanna say nextel due to it being a motorola. but sprint now has motorola's too
...
no, it says sprint will be releasing it... it doesn't say anything about nextel. they also said it would probably begin a chain of these dual type phones.

Just remember what seems to happen with anything that is the first generation of something new when it comes to technology.
Those new phones that come out are so nice, but i usually wait about 2 months before getting one so that they can work out the initial bugs.
I'm on my second xbox 360 for the same reason. Got a launch system and after about 2 months it died.
Just be careful getting that phone at launch. I think that it will be great, but since it is going to be a mix of these 2 technologies in one phone for the first time there will be a few headaches in the first few weeks.
But don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to this phone. I'm interested to see how well it will work.
