...went to a Sprint store and got horrible customer service....told the lady that my 2 years will be up soon and I was looking to either sign up for a brand new service for my wife and I (shared plan) or keep our service and get new phones. She was no help at all and scoffed when I told her we were interested in the phones that came free with new plans. She told us that they were bad phones and that the only thing you can do on them is make and receive calls - which surprisingly is all that my wife wants to do with her phone!

So here is my dillema. I want the Fusic phone for its MP3 capability. I have always liked the Samsung phones but want the expandable memory slot and nothing too bulky - wish the A900 had a memory slot. My wife w...

The high turnover rate of sales representatives in the wireless industry typically insures that customers are greeted by people with little to no comprehension of their training, let alone the ability to utilize it.

I find these to be representative of the majority, but must concede a minority are qualified and do a good job.

Most are essentially paid liars who will tell you anything in the hopes you walk out with a plan and phone long enough that they won't be chargedback if you cancel or return it.

Your experience is not unique and the experience in general is no longer confined to used car lots.

As a Sprint Associate i apologize for the way that you were treated at your store. I can tell you that commission is made on all sales (as I sell for sprint). Also, if you are eligible for the $150 rebate, it means that you are eligible for new customer pricing (including any mail-in rebates as long as you are past your contract date).

I know that Samsung is coming out with a new version of the A900 in mid-August that includes an external memory slot so if you can, wait a few weeks and the phone you want will be in store. From our understanding everything will be close to the same plus the memory card slot so it's slightly improved to what you want.

I am slightly confused about your wife's rebate status, does she have a phone alread...

My wife and I got a shared sprint plan 2 years ago. Our current plan includes 700 minutes and costs $84/month before taxes etc....So I am guessing I will save some money with the new plan - and I don't think I even have fair and flexible.

Both of our phones will be elligible for the $150 rebate deal the first of September.

The current phones we have are the basic Samsung VI660...I noticed on Sprint's website that Sprint has a buyback program so does that mean I can return my phone and get $50 + $150 rebate towards a new phone?

That is good news about the new Samsung phone (I won't be getting new phones for a month anyway). My wife doesn't care about the MP3 capability and wants a pretty basic phone.

The LG Fusic looks pretty im...

The old Fair and flex plans are the best deal because you only pay $5 for each 100 mins over your plan total. If you change to the new plans you will pay $10 for mins. over your total. Also any phone you get for free on any network will be on the lower end of the scale, with none of the advanced features. Get the Fusic Phone! This Phone rocks.

I don't know why the sales rep would've scoffed at you for wanting a voice only phone for that line, reps get paid on the upgrade not the phone. And I do apologize for her behavior, come to my store and I'll sell you a voice only phone! 😁

If you live in a area with a decient minority population your experience at the sprint store is almost common. As a minortiy who sells sprint and has to send minorities to the sprint store, disrespect due to the impatient customers who feel that if they give disrecpect they will get better service, is almost commonplace.

IF YOU FEEL YOU ARE DISREPECTED AT A STORE, HAVE A REP AT THE STORE PULL UP YOUR ACCOUNT AND NOTORIZE IT, THEN CALL SPRINT AND SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR. THE SUP CAN SEE WHO YOU TALKED TO AT THE STORE AND CAN GO FROM THERE.

AS FAR AS YOUR GET OVER ATTEMPT TO GET A BETTER DEAL ON THE FUSIC: You won't from sprint. If you swap a phone of anykind to your contract they will give up your 150 rebate and extend your contract fo...

Yeah, we get angry people that went to Radio Shack all the time. Good idea.

Radioshack is not the place to go... The only reason they're nicer there is they (ussually) have less of a clue as to what's going on... At least in my experience.
What I would do is go back to a Sprint store and if you get crappy service again then ask for the manager or browse around and say you're looking to getting new phones and don't mention you're already with Sprint, you'll get the same deal as a new activation would anyway and the salesperson is thinking money and your happiness. 😁 (Sales is sales is sales...)

We don't get paid based on what phone we sell, we get paid on the upgrade itself. If the rep did not want to sell you a certain phone, how about instead of assuming it's cause we want more money you actually believe that we know what we are talking about. I know that 90% of the time I don't want to sell the free phone, not because I don't get paid enough but because I don't want the people to come back in a month and a half whining cause their phone sucks. Maybe if people wouldn't be so cheap all the time then they might have things they like. Yes, expensive phones mess up too, but generally w/ all things (shoes, cars, clothing) the more you pay the better the quality and more features.

ok she's right the free phones suck. yes they do what you want them to (make recieve calls) but there is a reason they are FREE. how about no one wants to pay for a phone that will stop working in two months, litsen to your sales rep she is around phones ALL DAY, she knows what sucks and what does not. we do not get paid to sell a high end phone.
