Hello.

In November I bought a LG535 from my Sprint corporate store. I paid approximate $230 (not including taxes) for the phone after the discount.

I now see that the phone has been discontinued by Sprint. When did this happen?

I also was curious as to what phones Sprint had available currently online, and was dismayed to see that I paid nearly as much for my LG535 as I would for a brand Blackberry (about $60 difference). The most expensive, non blackberry phone they had listed was only $180.

Also, Qwest Wireless, which still sells the phone has it listed at $290 manufacturer price, and $130 if you have a contract. That's nearly $100 cheaper then what I paid! The manufacturer price Sprint listed at the store was around $380....

I don't think Sprint had that phone out very long at all.....after they decide to discontinue them usually the manufacturer price does go down. Take for instance the Samsung A800, which is much like the LG 535. When that phone first came out it was regular priced at $499, $349 with a 2 year contract. Now that its at its end of life we have the phone at $349 regular price, $150 with a 2 year contract.

I can't tell you exactly when that phone was discontinued, probably early this year sometime. But no, you did not pay too much for the phone, that is what the price was at that time.
