About a month shy of a year ago, i migrated from NEXTEL to SPRINT because i hate nextel. Sprint is awesome, service is wonderful. Well last week i put my sprint phone that i loved so much on top of my car, cleaned out my car, and drove off with it on top of my car ☚ī¸ well that was the end of that phone

So, instead of paying the retail for a new sprint phone because I'm broke, i just activated my old NEXTEL phone with a new contract.

So here is my question, i have now migrated between the two networks twice, and the first time that i migrated from NEXTEL to SPRINT, i has given the 2-year contract discount on the SPRINT phone i wanted.
So anyhow, would i still be able to go migrate back to SPRINT (i am thinking about giving the cont...

Since you had already been given the 2 year pricing on a CDMA handset when you migrated from iDEN to CDMA, you will not be eligible now for a discount towards another CDMA handset until consecutive 12 months have elapsed, at which time you'll be eligible for $75.00 off the full retail price(proviced the Handset Upgrade Program doesn't change again) with another 2 year contract. The full $150 discount towards a new CDMA handset would be after 22 months. You may wish to consider purchasing a CDMA handset on eBay and get Total Equipment Protection($6.00/month) on the next one you purchase.

I think what hes asking is since he went from Nextel to Sprint, and now back to Nextel because his Sprint phone was messed up...will he be able to come back to Sprint again and get the 2 year pricing on a new handset.

Since I will not be selling Nextel until October...I don't have an answer.

but do you think they will know that? i mean cant i go into a sprint store and say "hey, i would like to sign a contract with sprint" and try to act like i was never with sprint, or will their records show that i migrated between the 2 networks two times?

Well think about it, would you be using your same number?
If yes: Im pretty sure they'll figure it out when you go to port, and you tell them you have nextel currently
If No: Youll have 2 plans, 2 bills, and 2 phone numbers.

Whether youre on nextel or sprint phones, youre still held to the same upgrade rules.

You ARE held to the same upgrade eligibility, its possible that you got a retarded rep who's name will now show up on the list of violations.

You cant just go getting 150 off a phone every month if youre a bad decision maker..lol

yeah we are not gonna give you a new phone and extension cuz we already got you for however much longer it benefits us none. how doies that help you? none. bt unfort for you this ia a business world and you dont become fortune 500 for not making money. you need to buy a new sprint phone and get insurance and get over it you are in no way gonna be able to scam sprint at least not with any rep that values his job. if we lose money that means people like me get paid less. sorry bro. if you wanna know how we really feel check out the shop talk section

you work for sprint? Don't you need to be able to type and spell to work for a business that deals with computers and/or people on a daily basis?

... obviously not 🙄

... Im willing to bet he was texting that message.

Second, just because he gives you an honest, upfront answer to a question (that you didnt like the answer to) we ALL get sick to death of hearing, doesnt mean you need to insult him.

If you attempt to port back your wireless # from Nextel over to Sprint or vice versa, we'll know as the Wireless Line Number Portability tool will show us who the carrier currently has the rights to your phone number. Now if you just signed up for a new wireless service with a new phone number with Sprint, you'd be entitled to the 2 year activation price and then would fall under the current Sprint Handset Upgrade Program guildlines. Just curious, why would you attempt to do something dishonest to a company like Sprint?

i'm not trying to do something dishonest. I actually wasnt to do it because i am so pleased with sprints wireless network. nextel's network is terrible, and i want to go back to sprint. i'm not trying to be dishonest, i am just a customer of Sprint/Nextel who hates the nextel side of things.

LOL! Like I said, check with someone and see if their have a Sprint CDMA handset laying around not being used you could put on your account or go over to eBay if you don't want to buy another handset at regular price. Make sure you get the Total Equipment Protection for $6.00/month this time.

the reason why i didnt get the insurance last time, is that out of almost 7 years now of cell phone use, going between Cingular in the early TDMA days, Verizon back when it had not had a merger and was its own company, being one of nextel's first customers, and with sprint, and NOW back with nextel... i have never ONCE even lost and/or broken a phone. With that track record, i dont believe i need to pay the extra cash (which really does add up) for insurance. What happened with my sprint phone was a fluke, and wont ever happen again 🙂
