SERO and the i830
I need one, and the SERO rates are awesome.
I know that it was on before, but it got taken down quickly.
Can any insiders shed some light on this predicament?
it is on the site as of now.
all i know is that sprint recently found out that samsung did not build in a way for the end-user to hard reset the device. dont know if that had anything to do with what you are talking about, but sprint has been known to pull phones because of device features.

Is it on the SERO site?
*goes to check*
I always figured it was just cause ESPN bought them all from us.

update phone s/w
if the option isnt there, then the phone isnt OTA-capable for s/w-updates.
if that doesnt resolve the issue, i would suggest having him call Sprint Tech Support for some troubleshooting.
also, if you have an issue you would like address, create a new thread for it, as opposed to adding the issue to an existing (and unrelated) thread. it will prevent confusion and will usually help the question to be answered more quickly.
good luck !

So, still no news about the ip830w on the SERO site?
How about this, is there any way to get the phone for like $200-300, then switch it onto the SERO plan? Or something?
the way a text message works is i send the text from my phone it goes to a server. the server then sends it to the phone and waits for a responce from the phone that says it got it. if no responce is receaved the server sends the message 10 mins later. it repeats this process for 3 days. this iw why you may get delayed text messageing or repeate messages. when the message is sent and the phone does not receave it it is not like it gets put in a hold pattern waiting for the phone to be turned on, it has to be on when the message is sent.
