Any info would be great!
Ok so I was off yesterday and just heard the news today. In my region, our stores are doing away with the techs! What the F$@! is up with that! Does anybody have any idea about what is going on with Sprint all of a sudden doing this. This means we will be doing no tech work nothing! Please if anybody knows let me know. đŋ

Yeah they converted our store from a service center to a "advanced exchange" store a couple months ago. IT SUCKS!!!! Our tech converted over to sales and all we do now is look at the broken phone and order them a new one, and all of us do phone book swaps. It was a really dumb idea for them to do this especially cuz we were the only store that could service phones within 45 miles. Alot of our customers are mad, and our traffic has significantly decreased. :/

âšī¸ I really just can not believe they are doing this to us. We are the only tech store available in our area and now the closest one is over 300 miles away! We were suppose to get a new store too but that changed when they decided to do away with our tech. I hate to say it but it wouldn't surprise me if they close our store soon just because we are surrounded by 9 different 3rd party sellers of sprint all within a 10 mile radius. đ

RD Get over it, the tech is gonna get a nice going away package. Its called capitalism, and survival of the fittest. Its cheaper to send the phone off than have 2000 techs. No other store in your area has a tech except for USCC and they are a mom and pop shop operation.

đŋ BITE ME LYNCHBURG! You get to leave and I don't so kiss my a$$! And just so you know Capitalism is a b!@$h for not only sellers but for buyers as well so while your living a sweet life in a better job, i'm stuck here with the screaming idiots and I have to hold myself back from telling them to f$#k off. Now that I have you in my sights, you will die a horrible death!!!! đ

That same thing happend to me a few years ago. I still have no idea why they took the tech away all i know is it dramaticaly hurt our sales.
We ended up saving all old phones people gave us when the bought a new one so if someone came in with a problem we could try our best to fix it (ie antennas or broken pieces)
the store ended up closing 4 months after this.

The fact is they are doing this to save money. As much as it stinks that it is an inconvenience for the customer, it is a smart move for a company because they were losing tons of money when it came to techs and the way that they were exchanging the phones in the stores. For the customers this is not good, as a company smart move. They may lose some customers but it will not be enough to change the service and advance exchange centers. Sorry guys

we have a tech at one store in my town and it is one of the busist stores in the country and a lot of the people come in for issues and in the long run make the people wanting to buy phones wait longer whereas if they go to a dedicated service and repair location then nobody is in the way of my acts. my store itself has never been a s&r location or advance exchange so it doesnt effect me too much sorry for you people that it does. lets face it this company is constantly changing things are staying nothing is the same i have been here a year and a half and seen so many things but thats life people will get over it. how many other companies have repair locations in your town? use that as a selling tool
