Has the PDA industry come to a STAND STILL?
Can someone please explain to me why there have been no advances in PDA technology since 2004 when the 650 came out? EVDO isnt that big of a deal especially since it isnt that fast. Increasing Mega pixels with no FLASH? whats up with that?
...
what do you mean evdo isnt that fast compared to 1x rtt or even cingulars edge. its not fast? have you even checked it out?
...
i have checked it out and i currently have it on the treo 700p compared to the rtt on the 650 it wasnt worth the $650 bucks. speed might be faster they aded memory which doesnt matter if you have a memory card the platform is the same.
...
like some ppl say: "If it ain't broken, don't fix it".

10 times the data speed, UI improvements (password masking for one), keyboard improvement, screen resolution, internal memory. Appearance.
They don't release phones if there's not improvements, gimme a break.
...
Speed ill give you that. but keyboard improvements? Negligible Screen resolution? identical Appearance Negligible Most non treo users cant even tell the difference most of the time people always ask me if thats the 650 or 700. same size same color same screen resolution same database neglible improvements.
...
most non treo users cant tell the difference because they dont know treos. most non car people cant tell the difference between a 67 and a 69 mustang but there is a difference there. sure they look the same how often do New devices come out in anything cell phones other electronics whatever. hardly ever they are always just revisions of previous things. and another thing if you paid 650 dollars for your treo i'd more pissed about the fact that i got ripped off. treo 700 in a sprint store is 300 dollars.
...
huh maybe thats why they make it cheaper, for the potential treo users to get used to the handset, then if they find that they need more features, they can move onto to the "Big Boys".
