Sprint Novatel Ovation U720

"Compatible with Mac OS X operating system when drivers are available (not for activation)"

per Sprint documents.

advise him that support will most likely be VERY limited...

it just frustrates the hell out of me that less than like, 3% of the population ACTUALLY use MAC's, but those that do seem to think that they should be able to do whatever they want with it, and that Tech Agents should support it.

being elite doesnt make you better.

youre just another idiot with an expensive machine. have fun cropping photos of your wifes face onto Jessica Simpsons body. i dont mind that. in fact, e-mail when youve got it perfect.

but when you get a wild hair and decide you want to use your bluetooth phone as a modem through means of both a 3rd party bluetooth adapter youve installed into your MAC, and that damned "Future Dial" software, so that you can access your VPN from home.... do NOT call us.

dumbasses........

Yes the U720 will work for a Mac, but it needs to be activated via a Windows computer. Once it is activated you can plug and play with a Mac, the Mac OS will take over form there...
Here's the source:

The new USB card (U720) that we are going to start seeing in the stores can work with any computer out there. However to work on MACs the cards have to be activated on a Windows platform first. After the card is activated, then the Mac’s software takes over and runs the card. So just a heads up the MAC’s don’t run the sprint connection manager, they have built in software that runs the card. This was advice passed down from tech support, so please distribute this info out to your teams as it will help greatly!! An easy way to help out...
