All I can say is they get an F when it comes to reliability, when the power goes out don't expect your cell phone to work if you have sprint.

dude i live in the middle of the sierras we get some of the worst snow and wind storms in the country alll the extremes from extreme heat in the summer to extreme wind and snow in the winter power has gone out many many times also we have wildfires that have literally melted the lines and my sprint and nextel phones still worked all the time

that really doesn't mean anything to me, we had a windstorm that knocked out a million customers and my sprint phone will not work, my neighbors with sprint still can't get service even if they force their phone to roam. my verizon phone is working, when i called sprint just to report it they acted like total noobs and transfered me a million times, my neighbors have called too with the same results.

well that my friend is a sad story i think i almost had a tear for you guys. o wait that was just dust in my eye. the company knows about the issue they have dispatched teams but you live in seatle man you know its rainy there you know its windy there. and also cell phone service can always be affected by terrain buildings weather it says in the terms and conditions of the contract that im sure you read fully lmao. so good luck with that. and please take your anti sprint stuff to the verizon forum where im sure the rest of the yuppies will be happy to talk to you about it.

i think Sprint has come along way with thier service. theyve pioneered CDMA services, being the firsts for many things, and i feel they will continue to lead the way with innovative ideas and an ever-expanding repurtoire of services and features.
once thier customer service catches up with thier network (i do have faith. i see the reports and its constantly improving), they will indeed be a force to reckon with.

Sprint is only 8 million behind the top 2 and that is not allot. THe market changes rapidly and the only one I see changing with it is sprint. I see sprint if they keep moving No 1 in 2 years. If they can get their entire network Rev a be next year, Qchat up and working like they say it can, and wimax starting to be deployed they will be tuff to beat. There is one thing srpint has over the others. They got rid of their local service to embark. They are concentrating on wireless. Verizon is concentrating on Fiber to Home and not wireless as much.

I think Sprint has a bright future but I think you seriously underestimate Verizon and Cingular and the deep pockets of their parent companies. I think in a couple of years, the top 3 providers will all be doing well and have 4g deployed. I also do not think Sprint will catch anyone in subscribers anytime soon (meaning not in the next 5 to 7 years).

verizon does not have deep pockets. They are spending way to much with FIOS. It will pay off in 5 years but they are debt ridden right now! Cingular yes they have deep pockets but it seems their 2 parent companies are happy were they are at the moment.

If VZW needs a shot of cash, it is as good as done, not that they would need it. Their revenue is at record highs for them. Also what basis do you have for saying that Cingular's owners seem to be happy where they are at the moment?

we will see. ANd Verizon as I said is short on cash. Read any financial report. That is why Cingulars parent companies did not go fiber to home. They can't afford it and or don't think its worth the debt.

Verizon may be short on cash (I dont know I dont follow VZ) but Verizon WIRELESS most certaintly is not.
the two are seporate companies, VZW earns about 40 billion dollars annually and im pretty sure they can afford to upgrade to 4g technology on their network.
