Cdma..

I don't really understand the difference between CDMA and GSM... 😕 With CDMA, can you roam to other countries?

I am thinking about getting the SLVR Lc7 when it comes out... will I be able to roam?

Thanks, goober

Sprint Rebate/Upgrade Change

My sprint rep for my store came the other day and i was talking to him on how i bought my 7400 wit cash in May and did an ESN swap from my 7300, but I was still not eligible for the 150 rebate *was supposed to be in july* but now its may of 2008? He told me that it has changed and that ESN swaps do not affect your rebate/upgrade status anymore and that it is when the last time you actually used the rebate. and i have NEVER used my 2 year rebate in my 3 years with sprint.

New Sprint Phones

Hey I have a sanyo 8200 and I'm waiting till Nov. so I can get my $150 rebate for a new phone, but compared to the other carriers, Sprint phones look really bad besides the newer ones like the Katana and one or 2 others. Anyone have a link or info about some new "kick-ass" phones that are coming out soon from Sprint?

New Phone Discount

I have been with Sprint now for about 4 years and I really like my service. I am looking for two new phones. I was given a discount on the two phones when I signed my last 2 year contract. Last September my wife droped her phone in some water and I bought an old phone from a co-worker just to get her by until our contract was up and we could get new ones. My question is I am now told that I am able to get the full discount for my phone but not my wife's phone since it was changed a year ago. When I told them that I did not get any discount on her phone, they told me their was nothing they could do about it.
I have read here that if you call and let them know that you did not get any discount on th phone they will note it on you account to l...

Help Please..

My girlfriend is currently with Nextel. She has about 11 months left on her 2 year contract. But she really wants to switch to Sprint (aren't they one company??). Would she incur any cancellation fees for switching at this point? She would of course have no problem signing a new 2 year contract with Sprint. She also seems to be interested in the LG Fusic phone, which by all accounts appears to be a pretty good phone. If she CAN switch without having to pay ETF, how much would this phone be on a 2 year?

Thanks to all that respond.

Should I wait

Ok so here's the thing...my contract is up with T-Mobile and I'm kinda looking to come over to the SPRINT side. I gotta question about their phones tho:
The new Sanyo 8400, I like it a lot. That would be a phone that i want. When does it come out / when will it be available in sprint stores? My main thing is that I was hopeing to be switched over BEFORE the 27th of this month so I won't have to pay for another month of T-mobile. Does anyone have any thoughts? Shoould I settle for the a920 even though I would prefer the 8400?!

What do you people think, particularly sprint employees...

About a month shy of a year ago, i migrated from NEXTEL to SPRINT because i hate nextel. Sprint is awesome, service is wonderful. Well last week i put my sprint phone that i loved so much on top of my car, cleaned out my car, and drove off with it on top of my car ☹️ well that was the end of that phone

So, instead of paying the retail for a new sprint phone because I'm broke, i just activated my old NEXTEL phone with a new contract.

So here is my question, i have now migrated between the two networks twice, and the first time that i migrated from NEXTEL to SPRINT, i has given the 2-year contract discount on the SPRINT phone i wanted.
So anyhow, would i still be able to go migrate back to SPRINT (i am thinking about giving the cont...

Sprint=Crap! Or at least in SD!!!!

Sprint in SD is crap because they only have towers along the interstate and in big cities, so if you drive off the interstate POOOOH! There goes you signal! I tried it with a cool loaner phone at my lake cabin in aberdeen, and I got absolutely zero 0000 signal! And my alltel phone had 3 bars! So it is only practical for someone who lives in a big city and never travels! Sprint sucks!

Music on my A920

Ok, I have a question for everyone. I have an A920 and have been transferring some music off of my computer onto my memory card in order to play it on my phone. There is one song in specific that I am having difficulties with. It is the proper format, mp3, and plays on my computer while on the memory card. To confuse things even more, it shows up on my memory card, but when I try to play it nothing happens. So, my question is this. What do I need to do to get it to play on my phone? Is there an update or a setting that I can change on my phone or on the mp3 itself. Please help because this is a song that will not be on the Sprint Music Store. Thanks.

Two Questions: A) Roaming B) Instant Messaging

...Just joined Sprint and have a couple of questions. Thx.

1. My plan says, "AMERICA - Roaming Included".

I, um, assume this means I can roam in the States for FREE ? Why, then, when I am roaming and attempt to make a call does my Katana say, "Roaming rates apply, press [1] to continue." Is that just a canned feature of the Katana when roaming or did someone not set the "Roaming Included" switch at headquarters ?

2. My plan says, " Unlimited email and instant messaging - AOL, MSN and Yahoo".

When I attempt to access instant messaging, I get a notice that states it is a $2.99 per month feature. The best answer I got after three separate calls to three different Sprint CSR's was that while I have "free" access to instant mess...

Auction 66 - What are your thoughts - Winners/Losers?

With Auction 66 basically over, who do you think were the winners and losers? Who do you think over paid or got the best deal? Who is going to benefit from the spectrum they won the most?

That doesn't mean just because TMO acquired allot of spectrum they were the winner nor does it mean Spectrumco spent allot of money they are the winner. Who got the most bang for their buck? I have my opion but lets see what other in the industry think.

I will be posting this in other company forums. That way the trolls can give us their rediculous takes multiple times.

I saw a link the other day that showed what smaller companies were bidding for larger companies. Does anyone have this info?

Have fun!

Sprint Deposit for 18 Year Old (IF ANY)...

Hello,

I currently live here in WV and was wondering what Sprint's policy was on establishing service for me as i am 18 years old and basically how much of a deposit I would I most liekly have to pay. I have my insurance in my name and pay it on time which as I have been told that helps establish credit.

I am currently with CELL ONE under parents and I am sick and tired of their lame cell phone selection and dropped calls all the time.

I am willing to pay at least $200.00 for a deposit but what do you guys think my deposit will be if any.

Thanks in advance!
Steven

Sprint Samsung i730

Any one knows the release date of this phone?
Sprint sucks in selection of phones ☹️ I went to VW to see this unit, rep told me that VW are no longer carry this one! Kind a weird that VW is out-dating this model and Sprint is still thinking to bring it to market 😕

Retention offer, help

I am with sprint for about seven years, Last upgrade I had was three years ago. (I have VGA-1000) I am looking for bigger screen size (at least the size of A900), blue tooth and evdo. I don't want to go with A900 since battery. I asked if they can do anything for ppc6700! I like the wifi feature. I called retention, they offer me $250 off which I think is still high! My argument is why should I pay $449 while other carrier sales similar phone for around $200 with 2 yrs agreement? I have seen ebayer sales it for $49 with new sprint activation!
Any suggestion? How can I get better deal?
