Where is the love for existing customers!

I've been with sprint for seven years... I call up today to get a plan with a few more minutes, and they say I'll lose my 7pm nights, and have to pay $10 over advertised rate because I'm not on contract. If I want FAF, 2 year contract.

I got put through to a supervisor so I could complain some more, and they offered me 750 daytime with 8pm nights for $40, but I had to do a 1 year contract. They say it is a 'special' deal for existing customers. Now, that's a decent deal, but I'm still not happy about contracting again.

Where is the love these days for existing customers? I used to call up and say "hey, tmobile has a better deal, can you match it?" and they would say "sure, here's a bonus 200 anytime minutes for free" What hap...

Should I get Sprint or Verizon

My mom decided to cut me off her cell phone, and now I am trying to debate, who do I want to go too. She had cingular, and I hated them. I don't like T-Mobile just cause. AT&T just cause, and Nextel cause there phones are ugly and way to big. I am looking at Sprint Pcs and Verizon Wireless. I want a good network, but at the same Time i want a very cool phone, i was looking at Verizon Moto V710 and Sprints Sanyo 7400. What do you think I should do.

I need a new phone....

I am looking to get a new phone and need to know what is the best phone on sprint. The things that I am taking into consideration are battery life and reception. Other than that it doesn't really matter as this is not going to be my primary phone just a phone for work. Thanks in advance

What Happened?

Traditionally the holiday season was marked by carriers offering their best plans of the year. Now it seems that is no longer the case. Sprint's plans (except for the Fair and Flexible Plan) have remained virtually unchanged for a little over a year now. Is this the sign of a maturing industry or could it be the industry is watching "The New Cingular" to see what the market will bare?

Third party sales

I currently work for a third party retailer and my brother called me up and talked about how he wants to open a third party retail store in our home town because it is a nextel town and there is not an exclusive Sprint store there, it would be a great oppertunity for him. He asked how that he could do that and I have no idea. Does anyone have any advice that I could pass along to him??????

New Sprint Employee

I'm officially a new Sprint Employee tomorrow, working in a store. I just wanted to ask anyone if they had any advice, maybe things that I should learn early, things that I should or shouldn't do, etc... I'm not new to wireless sales, just new to selling solely Sprint, and their systems and policies.

And to try and stop TOO many people from telling me that it is a mistake because "Sprint sucks", or "my company is better than Sprint", don't even try it. I like Sprint, and they work great where I live.

Thanks for any input.

sprint and verizon

Did anyone read that verizon is considering a bid for sprint? I think this would be a good thing because it would be the # 1 provider and the sprint customers would have better service.

Sprint/Nextel merger?

Sprint, Nextel shares up on merger rumors
Wall Street Journal reports growing speculation of a deal

Reuters
Updated: 3:19 p.m. ET Dec. 9, 2004

WASHINGTON - Shares of Sprint Corp. and Nextel Communications Inc. rose Thursday after The Wall Street Journal reported rising Wall Street speculation that the two companies could merge.

While such a combination would offer some benefits, especially for Nextel, it would face several tough hurdles involving management and control between equally matched partners, analysts said.

โ€œSuch a deal would be much more strategically beneficial to Nextel than Sprint,โ€ย said Goldman Sachs analyst Jason Armstrong in a research note. โ€œAnd, therefore, put Sprint in a better bargaining position, which ...
