Samsung Instinct HD

Hey...I am waiting on this thing, but every Sprint store or Best Buy I call has zero info.

Does anyone else have any news on this? Is the 27th date for real or just a bad rumor?

Any Mobile Expansion

So I am on hold with VZW last night, and I hear that Verizon has America's largest Mobile to Mobile calling community. Then I start thinking, "What about Sprint's Any Mobile Anytime offering?" I suppose as long as it only applies to Everything Data plans VZW can still get away with it. Perhaps if Sprint expands it to all plans (down the road certainly. I understand that they're probably hoping to convert some existing customers from grandfathered plans, which makes sense) then VZW will either need to change their advertisement or adopt an Anymobile Anytime offering of their own.

No contract option?

Does Sprint offer a no contract option like T-mobile's FlexPay? I am EXTREMELY hesitant to sign 2 year deal. Also, is there a "trial period" in which I can cancel if I don't like the service?

4G REQUIRES NEW PHONES FOR SERVICE ON SPRINT

I was at the Sprint store today, the manager tells me that the new 4G and 4G Wimax (which will be turned on in the Austin, TX area and other cities soon) will require an individual to purchase new Sprint phones in order to get 4G and/or 4G Wimax. This also includes current Sprint Broadband Cards as well. Current phones on 3G can not be upgraded by firmware for 3G.
I was told that such new hardware would be available sometime in November, a month before the Christmas Holidays begins.

Just used some of my "Any Mobile, Anytime " minutes

Wow! 🤤 Just checked my Sprint account and it say I used 32min worth of Any Mobile, Anytime minutes. Didn't have to setup any services or phone numbers like my faves. The best part is its automatic and unlimited. Gotta have Sprint. 😎

Here's how its done

Any Mobile, Anytime gives you unlimited domestic calls from the Sprint network to and from ANY U.S. mobile phone regardless of carrier. Any network, any time. That’s access to over 250 million U.S. mobile phones nationwide.
We use an industry standard database at the time the call is made to determine what numbers are mobile numbers, this includes traditional mobile phones and pre-paid phones. These are the databases that the telecom industry uses to manage the routing and p...

I was in a Sprint store the other day and the BB Tour sounds good as is on VZW's network. I tried it out at the Sprint store and holly crap it sounded GREAT! 😲 Unbelievable!
I waked over and tried the HTC Snap, loud earpiece & speaker phone...WOW! 😳

How do they know?

What is it that differntiates landline from cell phones? I know the npa/nxx can, but what about people who port their landlines, etc?

Does anyone know any of the technical information behind how this happens intercarrier and so on?

Thanks.

Changes tomorrow?

I got an email that Sprint was making some type of changes tomorrow. It said: In the past we've brought you Simply Everything, Right Plan Promise and ReadyNow. Sprint is ready to change the game once again.

Any idea what is changing? Kinda sounds like new plans, maybe?

Or I could always wait until tomorrow, but what's the fun in that lol 🤣 😁

HTC Diamond Review: The Sprint Versin (Not GSM)

http://www.mobiletechreview.com/phones/Sprint-HTC-To ... »

This is the link for the Mobile Tech review of the Sprint Diamond...how they managed to get hold of a actual, working Sprint Diamond is beyond me but I'm glad they did. The review includes a 8 minute video showing off the phone and its extras. It demos Sprint TV, Navigation, and Opera 9.5 - It definitely looks thicker than the GSM version and sadly it does have the red backing which fully encompasses the entire back portion of the phone. For those of you who have firewalls here is the print version of the review minus the video:

"When we looked at the GSM HTC Touch Diamond that was released overseas in June 2008, we liked what we saw, with a few caveats. The smartphone...

Phone as Modem/Tether

I have a friend who has been using the Samsung A900 to tether for a year or so. She upgraded to the Pre and has now been informed that it cannot be used to tether. My question is: What about the Tour 9630 as a tether device? What other options/phones? Thanks!
