BOSTON – (Feb. 1, 2011) – Meeting the growing demand for pay-in-advance, no annual contract wireless services, MetroPCS Communications, Inc. today expanded network coverage across Massachusetts and into Connecticut with the launch of services in Springfield, Hartford, New Haven and surrounding areas. More than two million additional Massachusetts and Connecticut residents will now have access to a wide variety of feature, touch screen and smart phones along with flexible wireless service plans – all at an exceptional value and without a long-term contract.

"Since launching service in the Boston market almost two years ago, we have seen an opportunity to provide an incredible value to consumers in surrounding areas by increasing our network footprint and offering service plans and phones that fit our consumers' needs and budgets," said Bruce Martin, vice president and regional general manager for MetroPCS Boston. "Our service expansion into Connecticut reflects MetroPCS' commitment to offer even more customers access to unlimited wireless services at an exceptional value."

MetroPCS gives consumers a choice of Wireless For AllSM unlimited nationwide talk, text and web service plans, ranging from a monthly cost of $40 to $60 including taxes and regulatory fees, as well as a full spectrum of phones for every budget and lifestyle. No matter which plan they choose, consumers have the flexibility to add or change services without worrying about annual contracts, termination fees or other costs.
