Wow, still waiting. Does anyone know if Nokia is waiting for the v.2 BTooth before they release this phone?
π‘ Waiting in S.FL.
...
Here's a thread with the pictures of the new 6265i & 6165i: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t= 934433
...
Is it black??? WOW that's really nice!
...
MetroPeeSeeS that was not a wise move... metroPCS corporate checks this site but they where not aware of howardforums until now.
...
I have some friends who work for MetroPCS in Dallas, and they were already aware of HowardForums.
...
Guys any word on the street date for this phone yet?? It is becoming pretty important at this point that I get it soon as my old one died and I need to replace it.
Thanks π
...
Should be out within a week w/ the 6165. Motorola W315 early September I hear & Kyocera Strobe soon as well.
...

6265 Should show up on brightpoint any day, stores should get first shipments in a week or two, and unfortunatly the 6165 launch has been halted do to a high amount of hinge crackings in the test units.

Aggggg, The phone was released;
Only in stores
Available from:
nTelos
WHY????????
Frustrated in S. Florida.
...
Patience, it is coming for metro, should only be a week or two away
...
π‘ Been waiting, I read that it would range in the $250-$300; Is this so?
My impatiences come from losing my phone 30 days ago and discovering that Nokia was releasing this new model. Since then I have been waiting and of course I could have bought one by now but this seems worth the wait.
Well, I do appreciate you posting.
Thanx.
...
From what my people tell me the 6265 and strobe should be available at store level in byt the end of the week. I hope that there are no hiccups as I am going to get it on Friday if this happens to come to fruition.
Cross your fingers for us all!!

kiltedtech (or anyone else that can help)
What part of the country is expected to get the 6265 1st ?
I checked with several MetroPCS stores in my area
(South FLORIDA) and no one in the stores have an ETA on the 6265.
...
π€€ I've been told September 4th or 5th.
I've managed to get in good with a few of the employees and have already handled this phone. It's much better than my 6255i! MUCH BETTER! Plus it's actually thinner than the 6255i. It will be the best phone in MetroPCS's lineup by far.
...
Hey does anybody know a range of price this phone will be (nokia 6265).?? Please tell me its not $300 bucks like the razor..
Thanks

What is the deal with this frickin phone, geez!
I feel and have been acting like a kid during the Christmas holidays.
Why is this phone release taking soooooo long?
Every week I see or hear of a new release date, does anyone really have any idea when will MetroPCS in South Florida have it?
π
Thank you π€

Thanx, I do appreciate. π
...
it showed up for order today, they are on there way

COMING SOON...ID SAY WENDSDAY LATEST THATS THE 040 MARKET....
...
Hi All,
I spoke with Lets Talk today (1-877-825-5460) regarding the Nokia 6265 and they informed me that MetroPCS may not be picking up this phone and/or signing up for it.
It was the person on the phoneβs belief that phone like these usually don't come around for MetroPCS. Look how long it took the Razr to make it there and it has been around for a while.
What a waste of time... βΉοΈ

π Yo, yo! Check this out! Three is still hope. This is directly off the MetroPCS site. I bet the phone will be out soon. Looks like they are planning on it. http://downloads.metropcs.com/phone.php?phone =34
...
you can see the phone on metropcs.com it is not on the list of phones yet. BUT pick another phone and then click view 360 and on the drop menu at the top right you click on the nokia 6265 or the strobe to see them and get a price.

this phone is coming out wendsday latest....in 040 market...some stores already have it...
nokia 6165 has been dropped. not the nokia 6265 thats ready to go!

Congrats!
For anyone who has the 6265: how d'ya like it so far?
Did you manage to create custom ringtones from your own MP3's?
Do you know if the phone can be charged while being used (on a phone-call)?
What's the talktime on a fully charged battery?
FM radio is optional or builtin? If optional - how much?
Do you have to buy the data cable if your PC has a bluetooth adapter already?
I would really like to buy this phone but I have to know some of these things first - please help with whatever answer you know. THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
...
Thanks for the link. I couldn't find my answers there. Maybe I'll just buy the phone and test it myself. If I remember correctly MetroPCS has a full-money-back policy within 48 hours or so as long as you don't use more than 30 mins total of airtime or something like that...
...
As I understand it, the return policy is only for NEW customers. Returning customers do not get the same courtesy. Strange way for a company to show appreciation for customer loyalty, but it seems the cell phone industry is littered with many such bizarre practices.

Yeah and when I went to trade my phone in for the Nokia they told me that only new account activators could get it and I would have to come back in a couple weeks
...
Whatever floats their stupid boat. I canceled my MetroPCS line a month or so ago so they SHOULD consider me a "new" customer. Otherwise I'll just get a cousin of mine to come with me. Whatever games they wanna play - let's play them...
I am NOT going to get stuck with a $400 phone (after accessories to fully utilize it) if it doesn't do some basic things I need it to do.
Thanks for your point of view!

1. Great Phone no complaints yet.
2. Works with any mp3. Can set mp3 for individual contacts as well unlike the 6255i.
3. Yes it can be charged while in use, and it keeps on working though it obviously doesn't charge as fast as it would if you weren't on the phone.
4. Talktime in my experience is close to what is rated (3ish hours)
5. In order to use the fm radio you need to have something plugged in the 2.5mm jack or be using a pop-port headset. I just plug in a 2.5mm stereo headset. The second it's plugged in the FM radio option begins to work. Another cool thing is that you can turn the speakerphone on and use it as an actual fm radio if you choose. The RF quality is awesome in Atlanta, and music from the speakerphone (both mp...
