I'm seling my U.S. Cellular stock!!!!!
U.S. Cellular stock dropped $1.55 yesterday. TDS dropped $.60. TDS Common Stock dropped too. I think they are both about to file Chapter 11 if they don't merge(USCC) with Alltel soon.lol "U.S. Cellular,Come and get your love." Just joking, but I think something is going on. Will someone tell me what the hell "TDS Common Stock" is on The NYSE?

Honestly dont sell... I work for USCC I think maybe we will buy out Alltell!!! That would send your stock through the roof no joke!!!

I think Verizon Wireless would be a better suitor to acquire USC as this would enhance their rural coverage in various markets which from my understanding is one of Alltel Wireless's strong points.

however too big of a monopoly laws would not allow that... Also, US prides themselves on customer service, where verizon is more volume. I think it would condridict what US Cell wants to give to customers. We already roam with verizon and sprint? So basically we are getting pretty good coverage overall, we just pay an arm and a leg for it.

Verizon would most likely acquire Alltel, because they'll pay the big bucks for it. Regardless of who acquires Alltel, there will be divestures. US Cellular will likely pickup areas that Verizon would be forced to divest, possibly in the Dakotas, Michigan, the Carolinas (especially South Carolina), Montana, and possibly the Phoenix market.
