I am the manager for 6 US Cellular Agent locations, so yes I essentially work for USCC. I placed the order for these phones today.

Is it different for all stores? i.e. Madison, WI area would have ordered today also? Or no

I would say as long as they ship on the 17th as promised then sometime early next week...Wednesday maybe. Haven't heard the "official" launch date for the data plan that accompanies the Q yet.

I went to the US Cell store tonight and they had one but but it wasn't on display yet. They said August 27.
They started it up for me and I have to say I was very impressed. Yes, I agree, not completely cutting edge. The Q has been around for a while. But what a deal for the money. Basically $100 (after rebate) gets you a smartphone, and it comes with a lot of inbox extras: two batteries (they realize that life may be short), an extra battery charger, a 128 MB mini SD card with an SD adapter thrown in, a holster, and a USB cable.
Plus, 24.99 gets you the data plan...almost half of what the Blackberry plan costs. Probably get more with the Blackberry 8830, but a lot more expensive.

Yes we have been told that we CAN NOT sell the Q until Sunday August 26th. The Q data plan won't even be available in our system until that day.
I agree that the Q has a GREAT price point, but my personal opinion is the 8830 is hands above the Q and worth the extra money.
