Pearl (blackberry 8130) on USCC?
Is the RIM Pearl being tested by US cellular? I just moved to rural Wisconsin, and need to switch - VZN horrible here. A local dealer told me that the 8130 is in testing, and could be available by Xmas time. Should I hold out b4 switching - any truth to the rumor.

I have not seen it on the testing list, but thats not to say it isn't. I will call my RIM contact to find out more.

thanks! I'm really anxious to find out. I am a current treo user on VZW, and can think of only one phone that would be comparable,, the RIM Pearl. I use the pda, and camera quite a bit. I would stay with the treo if USCC offered it, or if VZW had coverage here.

I spoke with my RIM contact. USCC is looking at the Pearl. I don't have other details on anymore than that but that much is confirmed.

it is in testing, it will be released sometime in january or februray, if I were you I would just get the 8830, unless a camera is vital, because the keyboard is waaay better on the 8830 and its a world edition with GPS.
