I know all about the phone that is listed. But, the moto VE20; I cant find info on it. This suck when you are happy to see something new and not know what it is.

USCC needs new phones

Jun 22, 2008, 5:01 AM
yea I just did a basic search and couldn't find anything on the VE20. but then all of the other phones looked nice but nothing "way cool". so i still stand by my forum name, USCC needs new phones. But at least they are making a stab at it! so far the glimmer is my favorite.

any chance that the ve20 is a code for the w755?
Now that would get me to trade in my w385
Let it be so.

Here is the news on the Moto Ve20

FCC Blesses Motorola VE20

Today, 9:33 AM by Eric M. Zeman

Documents seen on the FCC site reveal details about the Motorola VE20. Based on the sample user manual, the VE20 is bound for Sprint. This clamshell bears resemblance to other Motorola models, including the KRZR series, and has an EVDO radio for high-speed data. It also has two touch-sensitive buttons on the exterior display that allow you to interact with the music applications and Sprint Music store. It carries stereo Bluetooth, a 2 megapixel camera, and voice recognition software. No release date for this phone is available.

It's odd that the Ve20 would be listed in the rebate form when it hasn't even been released yet...and not even tested by USCC

USCC needs new phones

ok so i called USCC and i spoke to a woman who had to ask her Supervisor the question so that she could answer me correctly. USCC put the Moto VE20 up on the rebate form before it was even announced to the public because it is part of their so called "marketing strategy". OK, it doesn't make sense to me, but the lady said that they will put it on there to save the bases for later when they actually do announce it, because they know that they want to. so i asked if this was part of a new USCC where they might, god forbid, tell us phones before they come out with it, but she said she didn't know. Then she said that the phone is put on this rebate form, even though it might not actually come out until another cycle or 2 or 3 cycles of rebat...

so if we know it will be in the lineup can we assume it will be given a green light through testing and be here by late Summer or early Fall?

all i know from what the lady said, is that they are going to come out with it. now she may have mispoken and meant that they want it to come out and that they hope it passes testing, but i am not sure. I do not work at USCC, nor do i have an "in" with them, so i tell everything I know because i know that if i were someone else, i would want the same. I want this company to announce phones going through testing, because i believe that the customers will get excited, and that the majority won't sue USCC for "lying" about which phones are coming out if one doesn't pass testing. if this doesn't answer your question about the green light through testing, let me know and i'll call them again because i need another reason to give them a call b...
