I had read somewhere on one of these posts that the 6100 was slotted for release on the week of Feb. 7th. I just called a local store here in Chicago however and the sales associate told me that they had no idea when this phone was going to come out. She also told me that they usually find out several weeks ahead of time when they are going to start selling a new phone, so that it would probably not be very soon! I hope that she is wrong, Ive been waiting to sign up for a new plan since Dec. and the only hold out is this phone!

I have had the opportunity to use this phone, in my opinion wait for the Nokia 6255. The 6100 offers nothing spectacular, looks and feels cheap with all the future problems apparent once you use it. So some advice from someone who has spent considerable time with cell phone technology, STAY AWAY from the 6100!

Did you like the 6000? Is it anything like it? If you have what are the differences you noticed between the two in call quality, features, etc?

Are you going to give any specifics, or just wait 'don't buy it because i said so?'

There's a tendency to comment on other things: "X is better then Y, trust me on that". He prefers Moto phones, I believe, based on other threads. All other phones are crap in his opinion. And you should trust it. 🙄
