Call Center Blues

Ok, I work in an AT&T call center. the policies for us, literally, change every flippin' day! I'm wondering is it JUST AT&T's policies that change every day or is it with every carrier?

It has been my experience that policies in the call centers and NOCs are usually bandaids or to put out fires. Technology is so fast and furious that the wireless carriers have to come up with crazy sh*t to keep up on a daily basis. Just look at the news lately. Sprint is considering going to no contracts and have lost the court battle to charge their customer early cancellation fees! How the hell do you deal with that?
