I know that is the one phone offered by USCC that you can get a International sim card for and travel overseas with. If that makes any sense? Other than that, i dont know of any other advantages that come with the World Edition.

Yes, it can do both CDMA and GSM, but not at the same time!

The owner would need to purchase a prepaid sim card wherever they are to use it (on a different phone number).

Comprende?

It would except a SIM card but data would not work and it would have a different phone number. Only realistic use for this is if a customer travels to Europe and wants to use their same phone they could get a prepaid sim card and be able to make and recieve calls on the device. No email or internet browsing.

Isnt that crazy that we have to post on a forum to get info on products that we are supposed to be selling? Did anyone notice in training we didnt learn a thing about the phones that we sell. When we get out on the floor we have no idea how to work the phnoes but we can go on all day about how we learned to openly communicate with fellow associates. A lot of good that does for our customers. Then we are supposed to go right out on the floor and sell something we ourselves have never touched?? How can we confidentaly sell something we have never touched? Our radio ads say to come in and get educated by our data experts yet most of us have never done more than make a simple phone call on them. How good does that look when a customer comes in to...

I hear you there! I trained in less than 3 weeks and for only about 2 hours a day a couple days a week. . . I mean I learned a lot but it is hard to retain that much information in that short of time frame!

training provides alot more than just phones.. the phones they used to train were just to give employees background information on technology and what is offered.. it takes going above and beyond to learn features and uses of all the phones use phone scoop as a tool. when your not busy play with the phones. there is no excuse to not have knowledge of the products we sell. there are many tools that you can use to learn about the phones. no ones going to sit you down and explain every single deatil of every phone.. continue to use this forum as a tool but i personally think the training that this company provides is the best in the industry so do not bash it expecially when you work for us

Well said...and to the previous posters who dont feel trained well enough, through open and honest communication inform your leader that you feel like you need more training on those phones and they should make it happen...it is your sales magr's job to prepare you to be the best rwc possible. Also the company does allow you to purchase these same phones on the app and get a discount on the data plan. BTW once you learn how to operate a BlackBerry they are all pretty close to the same. The company doesnt train you for every single Motorola that comes out do they? No b/c once you know how to use one the others are almost identical save for a few minor differences. While I feel bad that you feel ill prepared to sell the smartphones we offe...

Well if you learned about communicating with your fellow associates...communicate with them when you have a question about a phone. One thing to realize is that at US Cellular we dont sell phones we sell service. We train you to be able to serve our customers.
