Hey, Who do you think will take over when Jack retires? He must be pretty soon. I sure hope it is not his liberal little weasel Jay. We will all be up sh*t creek if so...

Why dont you direct that question to the shareholders or the board of directors. I am sure that they will have your answer. Maybe you might even want to ask Jay himself.

Oh, you cannot ask questions like that. Might get fired. You know I had an associate send a listen jack, that I was unaware of, and my leader shared a copy of the email with me? I got the impression from my ASM that there was frustration with the associate for sending the email. So tell me Mr. Jacksback, when Jack finally leaves will you help Jack off? 😁

You really need to look at the financial aspects of a take over and anti trust laws.

Currently the only company that would make sense to buy USC would be Alltel. US Cellular operates with nearly ZERO debt which means it would be a VERY costly notion for a company to buy USC. They would have to have enough capital to support a loan to purchase all the assets, property, customers, etc.

Take a company like Verizon, they operate with more than a $12B debt load, and can only afford to do so because they are backed by companies like Vodafone and their land line parent company.

Not to mention that Sprint, and Verizon both cannot buy US Cellular due to the anti trust laws because they already occupy the majority of the markets USC holds....

Assuming that the company is still owned by the Carlson family???

If so, Jay Ellison is clearly the man that would take over. Unless, of course, they look external for a groundbreaking CEO that would make US Cellular a national business force.
