I heard the reason why it was delayed was becuase of the speaker phone problems the 5550 had. Don't know if that is true for sure. Just a rumor so far. I truely hope not it doesn't.

I really like the phone too. I will be getting the phone for myself. I love LG period. It's the only brand of phone's that can take the beating I give my phones. I am really hard on them. 🙂

I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. LG again used parts from the lowest bidder and so the phone is failing all tests on it's screen, speaker & reception.

The 3-test phones I've seen in my market have all been turned back in do to major software and hardware issues. I've gotten to use the phone and to me it looks like a cheap candy case over the keys of a old LG 4400. Camera is worse than the 6000, screen is as bad as the 4400 and the speaker malfuntions as much as the 5550. So take every problem LG has had in the past year and roll it into this phone to understand what you are going to be buying.

I've said it before, AVOID THIS PHONE!

I've had the 4400, 5550, and 6000, and loved them all. Yes, the 5550 had some issues with the speaker, but that doesn't mean it's not a great phone once you got that fixed. We rarely send in LGs for repair and I will continue to recommend them to my customers

I carry the V710 right now and it has caused me no troubles whatsoever.

As for LG's, a good 95% of our problems phones in our market are LG's. My main issue with LG is compared to other brands, they have the shotiest construction and use poor quality components that break so often you can set your watch by it.

The company just has a poor track record, sometime type LG Complaints into a search engine and you can view how problematic they are. Yes all phone manufacturers have their faults, however most address those problems with the next product line. LG just continues to produce bad phones and often they pass on bad characteristics to the next model without any testing being done.

I dissagree. I carry the 6000 and it is the best phone I hae ever carried. It is the only phone that can handle my abuse. I drop it everyday and it still has same quality signal that it did when I got it. Out of all the phones I have sold in the 3 1/2 years I have been selling they are by far the best brand ever. I see more Motorola, and Kyocera back in for repairs than LG.

I do not like Motorola. I have carried the T731 and broke it in half. The first good quality phone they have produced since the Startac is the V262. The majority of customer's that carry the phone LOVE it.

I agree. The entire T720/30/31 Series was not so good. Maybe its time you reconsider Motorola. You're right, the v262 is a good phone, as is the v810 and v710. Moto is back!!!

I called 3 locations in the Chicago area after seeing your message and all three locations said that they do not carry the 6100 yet, and have no idea when the phone will become available. I hope that the Chicago market gets it soon, Ive been waiting to re-sign a contract until this phone comes out.

Yeah we got them in today. I do have to agree that the casing is not as nice as the 6000 is, but it still seems really nice. I like how the speaker phone is not as big as the 5550 was. I think the camera option is better than the 6000 by far! I will be getting the phone.

Just a hint. If you are going to a retial store, not an agent there is a way to track their inventory and what is being shipped. Most associates do not know about it. I have worked with an inventory specialist and was told how to track it. There is something called an ASN tools. If assocaites do not know about it, then their manager might.

i like it i like it!! i like the silver case, and the layout of it...i like the fact it has driving mode and a flash...the real killer is we dont have accessories just yet but its been solid for us so far...weve already got someone here who's bought it outright...it isn't as flashy as a koi or 7000, but its gonna go real well for us////
