At least the speaker button on the 815 is located up high. Plus, it is relatively harmless in comparison to the voice-memo button. I have nightmares about 2 things. Tornadoes and voice-memo buttons :-O

Side buttons are okay if you have the ability to modify it. I agree the voice memo button should be editable as is the Smart Key. In fact, I used to love the smart key because that was a method of sending DTMF tones, which you can no longer do on the Motos of recent vintage. I think the v60 Series was the last set of Motos with this ability. Now I have to press the right soft key or the OK button on the home keys to send DTMF tones. The Smart Key is really the Dumb Key these days.

Still, I like side keys because I can disable the ring/vibrate of and incoming call without opening the flip as well as read a text message without opening the flip. but you can always lock the side keys if you don't care for it.

You called it the 815, not the Moto E815!
