Possible Evidence Of USCC Palm Centro???
I'm sure you've all heard of the Palm Pre, the supposedly sensational touchscreen device running the new webOS by Palm coming exclusively on Sprint. But let's recall for a minute Palm's past. The Palm Centro was Palm's answer to the Blackberry Pearl, and was marketed as such, the consumer-oriented device of Palm. It may be a little out of date, but compared to the Moto Q9c and Blackberry Pearl (two popular USCC smartphones also consumer oriented) it has similar functionality. Engadget is reporting today that Palm will no longer be making any more handsets with Palm OS...."other than the Centro making its way to other carriers..." I just dont see us getting in with another phone manufacturer that to be honest with doesnt have a whole lot to offer. I think we will see updates similar to the lineup we have now. Not sure we will ever have more than 5-7 smartphone options at a time. However the ones we do have will be someof the best and will appeal to the largest portion of the buying public as possible. If we did change the process a bit I would see us going wiht one of LG's new WM 6.5 handsets, or one from Samsung. Just my 2 cents
