At one point we were with T-mobile, not available in our area now.....
We purchased some used phones and were then put on a Zero month contract....Same plan and rates as if we were on a 1 year contract...
Is this how it would work with US Cellular?
Many Thanks
Dave

Yes, you can do a zero month contract. There would be a $30 activation fee per line. Of course, you would have to have uscc phones.

Thank you for your response.
At the same time I asked here I also asked when I went into town. They told me I would still have to sign a 1 year contract.
Oh well. I guess we'll see in April when we really do this.
Thanks and Be Blessed.

Yes you can get a 0 month contract it's called going month to month, all you have to do is bring US cellular equipment that can be activated and pay a $30 activation fee. If the store can't help you, at least call customer service at 1-888-944-9400 and they can surely help set you up!

For the most part the only reason you sign a contract is to get a discount on equipment(with the exeption of some airtime promotions). You could have no contract by having your own phones, buying used or preowned phones from a US Cellular store, or pay the full retail price for a new phone from a US Cellular store.

The only reason i can think of that they would tell you they can't is if they are an agent store. I work out of one and we cant set up month to month through our system but we can still call in to have one set up in the store. So maybe they are unaware of this option but it most certainly can be done.

im an agent and we can do month to month thru AIM....why can't you?
...
same here im an agent and have no problem setting up a month to month thru AIM.
...
You have the option to set up a month to month plan for a customer in aim, yes, but check with your agent owners or agent managers and see if you get paid for activating a zero month contract. my guess is you make nothing. you are simply saving the customer time from having to go to a corporate store so if you enjoy doing them from the aspect of customer service, feel free to do them all day in aim, but I doubt that you get paid anything for the activations because you are not selling any equipment from your inventory nor do most agents have contractual agreements where they get paid for activating zero month contracts.
as for the answer provided to the original post, if I provide an answer, I can assure you that it is the right answer so...

you are right we get nothing off of it but what we do get is telling the customer the truth and building trust is quite important. ive done at least 5 or 6 zero months that have came back in over christmas and again when taxes came back that asked for me becuase i didnt lie to them.
