i work at at&t, but next door is Alltel (only alltel for Cellular Depot, the rest are USCC)

the manager wanted to know about his world edition blackberry for roaming.

I have a demo SIM here at the store, would it come up AT&T on the blackberry if i put that SIM in?

No. It should not come up At@t. The GSM function on 8830 is for international GSM only, and will not work in the states on GSM. Go to Blackberry's website for more information as to what countries it can be used in.
