PTT?
Everyone! I love how Nextel does the Push-to-Talk thing. Has anyone heard of USC starting anything like that?

It's not just a rumor, we are indeed testing it (definitely in Milwaukee, maybe in some other markets too?). It is coming. There is an LG with PTT in our lineup in evaluation right now, the VX4270. Although I agree with silva, PTT is completely obnoxious and I hope it doesn't sell well. Apparently our business customers have been clamoring for it, that's why we are going to be offering it. 😕

Actually I've heard that they are planning a 2nd or 3rd qtr release of it. I'm looking forward to it only because of the extra sales that we can start taking away from Nextel!

Here in Oregon, most of the other carriers don't have nearly as good reception as USC. So we're looking forward to appealing to businesses. I agree with DDA

I've heard from a reliable source that something big is coming out in may that will make people who switched from USC to another company to wish they never did. Not sure what it is as far as anything though. I'm doubting it's PTT since they said it's something no other carrier has or has ever done.

The hint I was givin is that it's no longer going to be what your phone can do, but what US Cellular can do for your phone. Doesn't really help all that much but it's something to think about.
