I Like What USCC Has Become

Back in the early 90s, I was an Ameritech Cellular customer. These were the days of installed 3-watt analog phones, and only two carriers in each market. I did a lot of driving around the midwest, and quickly learned to avoid United States Cellular. At the time, they were well-known as roamer-gougers. They had mostly rural systems, and it seemed as if they made most of their money by soaking people passing through. If I remember correctly, I was charged $1.99/minute in addition to a $1.99 "call setup charge" near Cedar Rapids, Iowa. There was no such thing as a "national plan" at the time. The simple solution was to force the phone to call out on the A side, and get picked up by Centel or Cellular One, etc. at a much lower rate. I re...

It is so great that you are a USCC customer now. And it is even better that you enjoy being a customer.

My opinion is that it is just rumors of any merger. USCC stock rates are higher than they have been in a long time. The promos they are offering are so great because every month we are exceeding our monthly goals.

USCC is stronger than ever. Our customer satisfaction scores are higher than ever. I do not see us going anywhere.

As with bk77, thanks for being our customer. We do definitly pride ourselves on our cust service and plans. I'm glad you found your way back to us(like a lot of people tend to)Good luck in the future!
