competitive? I cant see how. Ya, its nice to offer nationwide, but once again, there nickel and dime the cusomer to death. Pay for everything..and to top it off, there raised the prices of the features. Want to add a 2nd line? just doouble the cost of your add-ons.

Well, actually. Those add-ons were actually per line features in the first place. Stuff like N&W or Call Me minutes were originally just for one line per account.

For example, Regional N&W, never has been an account-level feature, if you had a Regional Plan with, say, 3 phones on it, you'd have to pay 4.95 three times in order to have it. Now you just pay 9.95 once. Sure it's only good in the Local calling area, I don't even like that, but hey, no more 'starting at 9' business. Besides, for your average user, paying a little bit in roaming ever few months will st...

Not in this area. We have always had everything at BAN level. This is the first for the extra cost to put it at BAN level. I agree with the local plan point. Most users will still take that. But, why would there chop off min. from the $50 plan? You would think that there (USCC) would make there local plans more as there make more money off of them.

One thing to keep in mind is that these plan offerings we're doing right now are a precursor to a larger scale revamp of plans scheduled for Q4. It's a staging point to get feedback from all markets. Personally I have likes and dislikes about the new plans. I like the fact that we can offer sharetalk on the new national plans. As far as features go, yeah it kinda sucks that prices went up on some things, but I remain optimistic that we have something for every customer. I read somewhere that something in the neighborhood of 95% of all US Cellular calls are made from within the local calling area anyway, so the company's largest focus will be on the local calling area--to please the customer. The national plans give us the ability to pl...

I just looked at the new plans--they look good I guess; but it now says there are no regional plans available in my area??

I am on a regional now and have been since 2002....I liked those...

So does this mean the new National plans replace my Regional when my contract is up for renewal next February?

Whoa! And the phone prices went up a bit as well. Soho used to be free, didn't it??

(Not a big deal I guess. They have to meet expenses somehow.)

Oh wait....I see what they did..

They just did not put the rebate info in the same place. I guess they didn't really go up.

Actually, the old plans are still available for purchase. So you can keep your regional plan (for now).

Thanks for the answers 🙂

I did go ahead and call to change to the National 800.....In that process I lost my N/W minutes (9PM start) but am gonna pay the 5.95 per month for the 7PM N/W. I also signed up for the 5.95 unlimited call-me minutes....

Very cool 🙂

Now if we take a trip out of our region, we can use my phone.....

So wait. You CAN still have your old plan? All we've heard is that if someone wanted to do a renewal or add a sharetalk, they'd have to migrate to the new Price Plans

Nope, according to my AAE, all of the older plans are still being offered (v2 and Adv plans only).

This is mainly for your regional customers and your customers who need more that 2,500 local minutes though.
