yeah, 2 mo. exclusive rights in their selling area. It was the same thing with the SoHo when it came out. We are still alowed to display the starburst that says that it is a USCC exclusive phone, even though we know other cariers have it.

Because we actually thoroughly test our phones- we don't release a buggy version of a phone just to have it out sooner. Besides, the vast majority of our customer base doesn't want the latest and greatest (besides employees 😁 ), they just want a phone that works well, is easy to use, and has some basic features like color screens and speakerphone, which is what we always provide.

we dont have one year contracts where i work so that rules that outa the question and i really dont like the 710 yeah its a cool phone but way to pricey i mean for example look at cingulars prices of their bluetooth phones their like 150.00 with a contract and are better then the 710! dont get me wrong the 710 has alot of cool futures on it but who actully uses the mp3 player on it and the camera sucks for a mega-pixel(the lg 6100 has alot better looking picture then the 710) thanks for your time but im out

Well first, Cingular can offer those phones cheaper because for the most part, GSM phones are cheaper to make, therefore they can sell them for less. Second, yes... you might pay less upfront in the store, but in the long run, which company would you pay more for after 2 years of service (considering Cingular's good deals on phones are with 2 yr agreements, not the 1 yr.)? And third, if you don't like USCC phones, why do you have their service? 🙂 🙂 🙂

My bad, I thought you didn't like any uscc phones 😁 But anyways, yes, the new phones, especially the Nokia will be great for uscc. I think that its very unfair to compare uscc phones to the phones big nationwide companies carry with a lot more money. I think for the size that they are, they are doing pretty good so far. You know, considering that a big leader in the industry (Verizon) carries a lot of the same phones. 😉 I think only good things can come up for uscc in the future as they get bigger.

What were the problems with the 8410? I hardly ever had a customer complain about that phone. The 6100 itself didnt get recalled for defects, it was the EE service, not the phone. And as far as the 5550 goes, that was for the most part a pretty solid phone, the situation where a batch got recalled wasn't until more than a year after the phone had been out. To me those phones you named are not at all the worst out of the bunch, but hey that's just my opinion. 😁

the 8410 is gone and i am glad....the phone didn;t ring loud at all...it looked nice but lots of them didn't work right out of the box, or would be "searching" all the time./...
