Any thing new about when the 6255i is coming out?
...
probably after its discontinued everywhere else. Typical of USCC.

Caution is good imho.
Having worked in wireless with Nokia CDMA phones and having been burned badly by Nokia CDMA phones, I think waiting is good. You may notice Ver. and Sprint have only had a few, if any, Nokia CDMA handsets over the years. There is a reason why. They don't use Qualcomm CDMA chips 'cause they developed their own (which really sucked int he beginning). I can't speak much for their handsets in the past couple of years but before they really were famous for failure.

I donβt know if you watch TV, but Nokia has done extensive advertising on the 6255, and they have said that it will not be released until summer of 2005. So if a customer asks that is what I tell them. Nokia is just trying to get the hype up through the country, and it is working and I think for how expensive the phone will probably be (about the same as the 710 probably) it will sell really well with those Nokia fanatics. So it will probably be with USCC around the same time as other companies.

Hello π
I was wondering, when this phone is realeased would I be able to buy it at full retail and use it with Sprint?
I was not sure how that worked or if I would need to get some type of code to be able to do that.
...
i have no idea, i know for sure verizon and alltel work just fine without problems, but nobody has ever wanted their sprint phone on our service.
