It's still on the website because USCC is selling all of the stock that's remaining, but the phone is no longer being manufactured by Kyocera anymore.

The Slider has (finally) been discontinued by Kyocera. You can still buy it, but once we're out, we're out.
In my market, the phone was garbage. Reception was iffy, we saw the sliding mechanism break frequently, and the keypad was too small to be of any real use. It was gimicky, and had no real quality. I know several employees who had it and got rid of it as fast as they could. I have heard that it fared a little better reception-wise in other areas.

it was a great phone, it broke easily in the hands of morons (which is why i always accepted insurance), but the fact that, like most kyoceras, you cannot talk on it while you charge it is a negative. but it had great reception any place i have ever seen.
