Does anyone know what USCC is going to be coming out with in July. I know in my area July 9th is the date that the new phones and plans will be changed ect..? My plan is up July 11th and I can get a new phone. So I'm looking around. Thanks 🙂

it's not like USCC 'changes up' phones in a certain time frame, like July. They always have phones in testing, it's just a matter of if or when they pass.

Why is it USCC has sunch a hard time passing phones when other carriers seem to be able to and do so on a regular basis?

If it is because of mixed technologies in the network is that really a strength or a weakness?

From a customer point of view it really concerns me, USCC is unable to offer more feature rich service and/or handset. Form past experiences, I can see some upper level exec calling the shots and running the co. in the ground due to narrow mindedness and severe lack of insight into customer wants or needs. I hope I am wrong but we will see...

Their forte has never been cutting edge equipment...... its been normal phones, minimal data and very good prices per minute. I could get better phones at Verizon, but I'd have to choke up about 40 bucks more per month for a comperable plan. In this case its money.

I've held the 6255i at the local Alltel store, and could have it TODAY (drool) but I would never be able to deal with the narrow coverage area and subsequent over charges. In the case its poor signal because pricing is good.

USCC works a niche providing dependable yet thrifty, low tech service to simple customers. They keep up with the leading pack (Verizone), but they're always just bringing up the rear.

So to you, wirelessben, I agree with most of what you say, except f...

Sorry Bob.

Not entirely true. All they need to do is offer a few more handsets or get rid of a few more often. Here's my issue with USC's phone line up bsed on mt previous experiences:

LG are low end handsets lots of bells, few whistles and poor RF and poor accessory selection..no car kits etc.

Audiovox is also low end - audiovox makes nothing they just contract out the build so quality CAN be questionable at times. One model may be great then the successor is horrible.

Moto - best RF, little pricey 1st 6 months then drops like a rock. 710 will prob be $49 - $99 by Nov lol

Kyocera - used to be great 'til they too started farming out parts (kx414 battery!!). they have other handsets why not offer a few more?

Sanyo.panasonic etc won...

people need to stop giving their 2 cents about companies business practices, its easy when you have no conrol over anything and just sit on the side saying someone should do something but if those people did what you wanted them to do they would be taking a sizeable risk with their career and their company, most of your opinions are wrong, not only because you don't know anything about how us cellular wants to operate. but because that is a poor business move when everyone else is doing the same thing to some people. like the ones in charge, how about you start your own cell phone company and do whatever you want? i know this seems like im being overly harsh on you but its not just you, too many people on this forum think they should tell US...

Why would you read a forum about USCC if you didn't want to know what people think about the company?

How many companies or businesses have you seen go out? u know why? 'cause they think just like you. They bury their head in the sand and think they can ignore the customers wants and needs. Smart companies (and employees) want to know what their customers think of their service and products. Ever hear of market research? It is real. Customer opinions are real. Your opinion of customers is pretty lousy and immature.

I worked in the wireless industry for many years and have probably forgotten more than you will ever learn about wireless RF. You have shown I already know more about customer relations then you do. You should be ashamed. I see more USC employees using this as a public forum to either blast customers or complain about...

you were the one going on a tangent about how you think us cellular execs are narrow minded because they dont green-light enough phones, if you have such a great business ethic and know what every company should do, like i said, start your own carrier, dont switch to another company you are going to complain about.

Alex,

You just don't get it and I don't really have time or the inclination to baby sit you. If I am wrong just tell me where I am wrong. Don't cry about things, put down your blankie and prove me wrong.

If a company doesn't want to listen to it's customers (as you say and don't) and the handset selection is narrow...then what is your definition narrow mindednes?

yeeesh...get a grip and some business savvy.

6255i is not out yet for Alltel. At least not here in Wisconsin. And their forum says it'll be another month yet.
