Is this something we can expect this summer, this year even?
USCC hasn't exactly set the world on fire in keeping up with new services/handsets/accessories etc.
Heard the next handsets are going to be PTT handsets. Hope they are not the only ones being introduced.

we will have the 4750 and 440 in our store the middle of next week, the plan has been an option in the system for a month. the phones have been on our rebate forms for 3 months. i dont know of any time when we can sell them though.

It will be out in July. And as it is now, yes, all USCC is droping for handsets are the 2 PTT models. No word on any other model...still all listed as "testing"

I need to add a 3rd line to my account. I would like to stay with USCC, but I am keeping my options open since I would really like to see a better internet service or at least the right combo of aol IM and camera handset.
PTT is a second choice on features but may rank higher with a 3rd handset on the account and teenager 😁

PTT (Verizon Wireless) US Cellular calls it's version SpeedTalk(sm) and will be availbale to the public on July 7. Here in the New England Market the phones and service were successfully tested and is ready to use. It's gonna be huge because the Nextel service is awful in this area and USCC's data coverage exceeds Nextel's so I think it will sell like crazy...just a matter of time before people realize that Nextel is a ripoff and that they just paved the way for USCC's SpeedTalk service!

i would say sprints ownership of nextel would change it but sprint rips people off pretty bad too.

The initial phones will be:
LG AX-4750
Kyocera KX440
We have both models in store as of now. The Kyocera will be sold with an extended life battery however the LG will be sold with a standard battery. The new service plans have been distributed to stores however we are not at liberty to disclose the new rates but I will say that they are comparable to our current plans.

-This phone is a basic "bar" phone with rubberized side grips. It comes with 2-battery door covers, one of which contains an aluminum cargo clip that doubles as a table stand. The function and usable requires very little instruction. I would highly recommend this phone for business use, i.e. field workers or ...
