Found this snippet...doesnt look good for the availability

Verizon Wireless and LG Electronics have announced the release of the VX9800 next week. Available exclusively to Verizon Wireless customers, the VX9800 uses advanced wireless technology and design to offer a complete multimedia entertainment experience along with the latest in wireless phone communication.

Its possible but not very probable that you could get an unlocked version and get it to work on US Cells network. It would have to be the same code that US cell uses...even though its a CDMA it doesnt guarantee that it will talk to the network.

i have never had a problem using/activating a phone on our network that was not a us cellular phone, the only problem would be a lack of an internet service.

An LG with reception issues? are you kidding me? 😳 (sarcasm intended) I hate to burst your bubble uscellgirl but in my 8 years of doing cellular LG has had the worst reception of all manufacturers (consistantly anyways) On another note however when a phone is exclusive it is only typically exclusive for a few months then other carriers can start looking at it. ie the razr and kx1 these were both exclusive for there first 3-6 months and then were up for grabs.
