Ok for all you people questioning this phone here is a small update. We are currently friendly testing the vers 2 of this phone there is a vers 3 needing to be approved by the fcc. The outlook is optimistic for having this available by Christmas. Tsting started teh end of September which would put the end of testing between the end of November and end of December at the latest (saying it passes). A few things that are different on this are an upgraded display, new color (bronze), a micro sd card, Dark blue keypad lighting, and upgraded internal memory (18mb). So lets keep our fingers crossed and we will all see a new high end phone before the year is out.

"...a new high end phone before the year is out."

How about just ANY new phone! Is it USCC's varied network that handset co's cannot program for. If not, why so many testing issues.

One thing I'd like to know is if this thing will run windows mobile like the rest of the Razr family or if it will be "dumbed down" to fit with the rest of USCC's phone line and run an OS designed by Motocrapola instead? If it's going to be a smartphone, I may just wait for it. But if it's going to run a moto OS i won't even consider it. They make great hardware but absolutely suck at designing an interface.

You would be correct. I most likely am thinking of the MPx220. What would keep a cdma phone from being a smartphone?
