Alltel will probably have the Razr on November 23. USCellular will almost certainly be later than that. Whichever one actually starts selling the phone first will have my business for the next 2 years. I won't go with Sprint or Cingular or Verizon cuz they have lousy coverage in Wisconsin, but Alltel and USCC are equals. Plus, Verizon gives 450 anytime minutes for $39.95 whilst USCC and Alltel give 1,000 minutes for the same price. I know, Verizon is Nationwide no roaming -- big deal. Why not wait until USCC sells the RAZR? You really think USCC is going to miss the holiday season when Verizon and Alltel will be selling it then? I think not.

Not much difference between Nov. 23 and mid-December. Gotta have the right service to go with the phone.

USC has missed every Holiday so far this year, and for the past 18 months. Not one retail promotion I can remember promoting any new handset, except for speed talk and in my humble opinion was pretty week effort. This was even way after July 4th.

Correct me if I am wrong, but why would we think any different now?

Just my hunch. That's all. I completely agree with your sentiments except the RAZR presents a unique situation.

One thing USCC has not done to date is surprise. Unless there is totally new marketing guru I do not expect to be surprised. I will keep my expectations tentative.
