Samsung SCH-a670
I just checked out the U.S. Cellular website & they are now offering this phone. SAD SAD SAD!
The phone looks a lot like my LG VX4400, only with a camera. Verizon offered this phone at one time but is it not on their website anymore.

I'm probably the 1,000,000th person to complain about U.S. Cellular phone choices, but come on. Some lame ass Samsung phone! I know I'm going to be hit back but what is the story with U.S. Cellular. Those Kyocera phones are a joke. I would be embarrassed to use one. They look like kids phones & USC offers 3 of them!
The most adult looking phone is the Motorola v710 & that already has a replacement, which came out months ago.
I never thought I would consider leaving USC, but they need to get it together. It's Christmas time & this is the best they can offer.

its also a lot smaller than your 4400. It will be very popular with a younger crowd...external color LCD, camera w/vid cap., and an easy to use interface. Its a good phone from a good company.

Verizon seems to have pretty decent phones (many to choose from) & I know there network is pretty strong. I'm not endorsing them since I think their plans are very expensive.
It just seems to me that USC is 6mo to a year (if not more) behind on every phone release. By the time the phone is introduced by USC, it is no longer remotely cutting edge.

USCC is also a lot smaller company...one they arent going to have the same pull with LG, kyocera, etc as verizon will. Also a lot more testing is put into the phones US Cellular offers (I thought everyone already knew this???). I feel the samsung is a step in the right direction, nice little phone from a completely new manufacturer to US Cellular.

I appreciate what you are saying. You are right. The Samsung phone is a step in the right direction. I have heard many times that USC spends a lot of time testing phones. That is great, but the lag time to release seems a little long.

I agree 100% with you that it'd be great if US Cell could release phones sooner...it just hasnt been the nature of the company and I wouldn't expect it to change in the future. just be happy for having the best service.

i can definitely agree w/ what you are saying about the phone selection at uscc, however if you go to the verizon forum you will read the same thing. anyway, i used to have uscc and then moved to colorado and switched to verizon and I would definitely recommend staying where you are. i have dropped more calls in 6 months then i did in 3+ years w/ uscc. when i head back to iowa i drop calls all the time between cedar rapids and cedar falls, never was a problem w/ uscc, and that is a heavily traveled area.

Let me give you some advice, wait a couple of months if you have that kind of patience and act like a normal person, talk about rate plans and promos, your experiences with your service and that kind of stuff. Then you can start the flaming like that wasn't your intention from the very begining.
