Has anyone with the RAZR noticed when they are talking on the phone, there is a terrible echo? I'm having this problem.

I had no such problem when I tried out the phone. Everything was perfect except it's too thin for my hands.

make sure you dont have it on speaker phone hold down the top button on the left edge when opened to turn on or off. this helped me.

Also, when the phone is in the open position, I can hear a static hissing type sound from the ear piece. Is anyone else hearing this sound? If you buy a USCC phone from an authorized rep. and the phone is crap can you exchange it for another model?

You have 15 or 30 days no questions asked. I think USCC is 30 but not positive. Easy for you to find out with a phone call. That's the general deal given everywhere and advertised on TV. As for me, I'm gonna wait for the V323.
So, you can exchange it or cancel the whole agreement. I've done it more than once. No problem.

if you purchased a razr at retail cost you have no return option, its like driving a car off the lot.

Why not? You can buy at full retail and keep your existing contract.

I seem to recall 2 or 3 comments of this nature in the Reviews. Uncommon, but it is there. Why not try another Razr. If it's still there, then ........

go back to the store as soon as possible and see what the return policy is, i have no return policy for new phones, some have 15, i do not know what the retail store can do for you, but returning a phone at full price would mess up any agent unless they sent it back to the NDC

I would ask at the location you purchased it from. I work for an agent and on phone purchased outright at retail cost have a 15 day return policy.
