My USCC Rep. told me that the Razr V3c could pick up analog signals if I were out of the digital USCC coverage area. Is this a true statement?

Thanks!

NO!
the RAZR definately does not have analog AMPS.
Two band digital only.

no, digital only, look at an easyedge map, that is your coverage.

Not true.

For Easyedge, we only use the USCC network (well, even thats not totally true anymore) but for "Digital" service, we have roaming agreements across the country with Digital carries (not just analog!!)

Therefore, you're coverage is anywhere within the USCC network, you just may find a few pockets of dead space.

I've used to carry the LG6000 and I got service nearly everywhere anyone else did, even with the Analog band.

The main point of that post was to tell him it does not utilize analog towers, since we do not have a nationwide digital map, the only thing i would do would be suggest he go to verizon and pick on up, but thats pretty bad to tell our customers to find their service area at another company.

yeah, true.

I just didn't want him to avoid getting the razr (amazingly enough, I actually kind of like that phone) because he picked up our pathetic Easyedge map that looks a lot like T-Mobiles true "nationwide???" coverage, but limited to our markets, of course, lol!

Yeah, publishing something like that makes us look bad, but I hear us cellular charges extra for using e-mail on the blackberry outside of our markets. How much is that?

No idea...when people ask me about the blackberry, I tell them that its a rip off and they are better off without it...besides our Blackberry phone is bulky and old.

From what I've heard though, it just won't work off our network...but I could easily be wrong about that.

no it works, but someone complained because we charge out of network for e-mail.
