I live in southeast wisconsin where the razr is priced at 229.99 but in Chicago it is 149.99 best price. Can I buy from USCC in Chicago to save 80 bucks or will I have to pay the higher price based on my zip code??

If I were you, if I was in chicago, I would just go into a store, tell them what you want and have them start the paper work and see what happens, you will probably get the price since they have it advertised at that price, if not, play russian roulette with them and tell them to go ahead and just shut your service off.

although that pricing you are posting can be mistaken because of the way you post, you say you would pay 229, but in chicago the "best price" is 149. the "best price" here is 149.95 ($50 plan, $50 rebate if you sign up for easyedge unlimited)
your price given is before rebate on a $40 plan. while i do not know if a different price is charged up there since they have done it for phones in the past, your post is not the best indicator if that is being applied to the razr.

no, they are not, it is a phone that is hard to keep, what is it with the razr anyway? we have never gotten anyone haggleing over the price of any of our previous phones, that was the thing that pissed off cingular employees more than anything and i enjoyed that i never got that, but as soon as we got that phone, people have been doing it, must be the kind of person the phone attracts.

The way I figure it..... yes, it sucks that Chicago, etc gets the better promos. But here I still get a way better deal with USCC than I would with any other carrier. So what do I care? I dont' need more than what i have. I get 1300 minutes for $49.95! Verizon and Cingular both would give me 900 for $59.95.

I really was not complaining, I was just wondering if any of the USCC employees that frequent this board would know if I could get the better price. I am in Chicago from time to time and would wait to get the phone if that was the case. To me 80 bucks is alot of money.
and although I could get more minutes with a new carrier for less money I don't think I would switch because for me USCC has better reception and coverage than any other carrier in my area. I have been with them since about 1998 when they took over cellular one and have always been pretty happy with service. Where I work we have switched service 4 times in the last 8 years and none of them where as good as USCC.

The only way to get that pricing is if you have a billing address in the Chicago area, with a Chicago number. 😡

thats nothing a couple of calls cant change. call, tell them you moved to chicago, get the address and new phone number, then go and get your razr, and, the following week, call and tell them chicago was a dangerous place, so, you moved back...if it is worth all that to you for $80.

Just to let you guys know that USCC, changes the pricing on phones and plans because they have to compete againts other cellular companys. Here in Chicago, has the biggest market and people that they have to deal with. Just because milwaukee or Iowa do not have the Razr at $99.95 after mir is stupid. Verizon, Cingular, Sprint PCS, Nextel and Tmobile does the same thing. On the website that ask for your zipcode, so they can give you the right price and deal.
