all those threads are stupid, people who love mergers and monopolies astound me. I want to start a thread like "Verizon is buying Cingular and Sprint, Using extra spectrum to Jam alltel signals"

Woo, Hoo, I'm in! Ever notice that it's always Verizon and Alltel people starting those rumors. Nobody else seems to do that crap. I'm still giggling over the Cingular group debating whether or not they will be named AT&T soon. It was in our newspaper down here that it should be done by the end of the year, and there are reps up there saying that it won't happen and that it's a rumor. I find that amusing.

some customers do that too, but thats because they are stupid, that and we are a little peninsula of red in our local area, so 10-20 miles in 3 directions you can find a verizon and those salespeople say some stupid stuff to get them to sign up like the classic "oh you live there! yeah we are gonna own that in no time!"

Well lay people, and I include lots of agents and corporate employees, don't understand what a hassle and long term pain the butt it is for companies to aquire towers and bandwidth and such and so forth. It's more often too much of a mess for even the big boys to get into.

p.s. Alltel is buying out a small cell phone company called Midwest Wireless.
