US Cell is a low cost regional provider. A cheap regional calling plan is about the only reason to go with them.
$15.00 thats $55.00 now a similar wide-area family plan would cost $70.00 i could goto sprint and get similar plans but alas I'm forced to go with uscc
They stated that they were testing Rev O already but waiting to see how REV A would turn out. That makes a HUGE amount of sense finacially. Test Rev O in select markets... Then see how Rev A goes. Once Rev A succeeds or fails then move forward with Network upgrade instead of investing millions in something that may not work.
SOme people call it slow but when you are Super Regional company and not as big as the others it is the smartest way to do business. Ever notice that some of these companies that RUSH to be first with stuff often have major problems and have major customer dissatifaction?
Its just smart planning. As an agent that relies on USC's products for my way o...

On the subject of Midwest Wireless... I have to chuckle. I have heard of them, but never done any research. My fist thought is that they are a small company and must be owned/backed by a larger TelCom and not to my surprise this is true.
The funny part is that one first and probably largest shareholders of this privately owned company is TDS Telecom. The company that owns over 50% of non other than US Cellular.
I'll have to do a lil more research but here's a quote...
...Today, the privately held company has 65 shareholders, 60 of which are local phone...

LG's And i will go with them again when they get internet which will Probably be never.
dead psycho asked when USC would get real internet. I answered the question by stating from my sources USC plans to launch EV-DO around Christmas and that there is also a major overhaul of EasyEdge coming.
He asked if anyone had heard of Midwest Wireless. I replied yes, did a lil research and found out an interesting FACT that TDS the majority stock holder of USC is also the majority stock holder of Midwest Wireless. This proves/disproves nothing. Its simply a fact that a company named
- Telephone
- &
- Data
- Systems felt it was a good investment to buy stock/back Midwest. TDS does not make the decisions for USC or MW. They ar

LOL just kidding. I didn't take offense to it. I just wanted to be clear in my statement. Good reason never to share your passwords or save them automatically on your puter that others have access to.
This is like complaining about buying a pinto for 100 bucks compaired to buying a bmw at 50k.
Not saying Midwest is a bad company at all as it seems what I have read about them so far is that they are a very good LITTLE company.
They have a very small licensed market territory in three states which consist of a few counties and have 700K customers.
The reason I emphasized "little" above is because being a small wireless provider like that would take far less resources to switch their network to EV-DO. Unlike USC they have relatively few towers comparatively speaking. Just less costly for them to rollout that service.
Hope what I have told you in this thread helps.
I am sorry I don't remember the name of the company or the developer, I believe I caught the interview on MSNBC or CNN a couple months ago.
