has anyone else gotten the new lg 355 in their stores yet? they have told us like the end of october, which i won't hold my breath on

I have only had them since wednsday but all the ringtones are awful, they are all composed in the key of sonic the hedgehog - starlight zone. Maybe its an attempt to bolster easy edge sales, because if you sell this phone they are going to need to download all their own ringers.
The greatest thing though, which i was wishing for last week, it has "silent" as a ringtone. so i can make the one really annoying person not ring through but everyone else is fine.

although i do have to admit the recording a section of an actual call is pretty cool.

i would get one if i can transfer ringtones with a cable.... then i can make it a true sonic phone and put a twilight stage ringtone on it.

I think USCC blocks that ability. Even if you found the cable, I doubt you could transfer ringtones.

Are you going to get it on your line? It's a cool phone. I'm hoping this new Q rumor is true so my hubby can have one. I don't know what my next phone will be, by July we could have dozens of different phones.

well, i take back my comment, we just got ours in today. Yes the ringtones make it so customers will use easy edge. And i have tried and tried...no luck on sending ringtones...so easy edge is the way to go lol

You can also set videos as your wallpaper...its pretty sweet! I love the true color display on the outside. I dont think the ringtones are that bad...they are kind of fun!

i have the 355 [bought it UFS the other day], already i am having issues with the mic. i love the phone, but half the time everyone hears static when i talk to them. if i press on the mic area, the static goes away. anyone else hearing problems like this? anyways, i am hoping there is a way to mess with the LG to get the data-in unlocked? i know on the remix i thought it was locked, and just found out that it's simply a phone setting you change.

i can't. it's UFS, all sales are final. all i can do now is send it off to repair. it's alright though, i'm going to get a nokia 6265i muwahahaha. i debated taking it apart and checking out the mic myself, but i don't feel like voiding my warranty when it's only like, what, two weeks old?
