To be fair, I haven't had any problems with the Excursion, however, it looks and acts so much like a Candid, that I can't sell them, either.

We have had no problems with the 245. In fact, I was even thinking about buying one. In my store the 245 is one of the best selling phones. On the other hand the xcursion's is a piece.

No, OKC's price is the same for the 245. It's only in certain areas that the price has doubled. There's really not another phone in those markets comparable to the 245 for the same or about the same price that I can sell them. Sadly.

I just wish that USCC could smell what they are shovelling.
They told us in June when we trained about the new price plans, that before the end of 2006, all regions would have the same price plans, same promotions, and same pricing on phones, except emerging markets. Well OKC/STL isn't an emerging market any more, and they throw promotions and price cuts that we just can't match without losing big bucks.
What USCC needs is a new/better marketing/advertising group. Do some national ads like Alltel did and get the name circulating. Something clever and memorable would be a vast improvement to Joan on the Phone!

Well I know this won't make you feel any better, but they still consider Portland Maine an emerging market and that launched in 04'! Fortunately for us they made all of New England's pricing the same as Portland's.
It's a smaller market though so its probably easier.
I agree on the advertising bit though. We are screaming the same thing. As one of the larger agents in the country hopefully we are heard.

I'm just a lowly, one store agent. They could care less about us, except that we do as many renewals as many of the stores in OKC. We've had AAE's ask what were doing, and how to translate it to the City. You can't reproduce what we do. People call me at my house to get things fixed, will your employees allow the same thing?
